All Love Notions Sewing Patterns are digital downloads, you may print them at home or send to a copy shop. A physical pattern will not be mailed to you.

The Terra Tunic is a straight fitting top, not too fitted and not too oversized. The chunky hem features side vents with the back hem slightly longer than the front to give you plenty of coverage. The beauty of this tunic is the variety of necklines! There are six neckline options: scoop, v-neck, funnel, asymmetrical, boat neck and v-neck hood. Also included are four sleeve lengths: short, elbow, 3/4 & long. You can make this tunic several times and still have some diversity in your wardrobe. Optional elbow patches and welt pockets give you even more versatility.

What a value is this pattern, with its six necklines, WOW! The split hem really adds style. Well written tutorial, easy to follow. I added trims for even more fun looks.

This pattern has a crazy amount of options!
I haven’t been sewing all that long and was a little nervous about tackling a hood but it went SUPER SMOOTHLY! I love my tunic and will be making some of the other versions – I already have the fabric!!!
    I highly recommend this pattern!

  7. Nancy

One of my favorite Love Notion patterns!

  8. Stephanie

This may be my favorite pattern of all time. I love the Assymetrical design. Easy to sew and looks great. Can’t wait to make the other styles

  9. dmschindlbeck

I love this pattern! I chose the boat neck for my first make. Love the details of it. A pattern for all seasons.

  10. Diane

I HAVE MADE THIS PATTERN SEVERAL TIMES, AS A HOODIE AND HAS A SHIRT. LOVE BOTH STYLES. GREAT PATTERN.

  11. Lizel Schwartz

Very well-designed easy to sew. Fits great!! Loved it!

  12. Terrie

This is another favorite of mine! I’ve made more than I can count for me and our daughter … light sweater knits, sparkly sweater knits for dressier tops, french terry. I love the assymetrical collar but have made other collars as well. All turned out perfectly and are so comfortable to wear. Highly recommend this pattern!

  13. sproul818

The details of this classic staple are perfect. My husband thought I had bought my Terra Tunic from a store.

  14. brooke

Such a wonderful classic tunic! I love all the details on it!

  15. sschillawski1

I get so many compliments when I wear the makes from this pattern! This is a very flattering top.

  16. Leanne Eriksen

I really love this pattern. I have made several of these and always get compliments. I am most comfortable in leggings, so this is the perfect top for that. The instructions are easy to follow and the fit is bang on. This will be a go to pattern for me in the years to come

  17. karilynpittman

Love Notions has spoiled me with the added FBAs. Sadly this pattern doesn’t have one so I had to make the necessary adjustments myself. Not my favorite thing to do since I prefer to use a projector for cutting. Would love an update with a FBA added!

  18. magsohara2

Love this tunic. Made it in a lightweight french terry and it’s so lovely on. Have had many compliments when I wear it. Will be making another one for sure. Thank you LN ????????????????????????????????

  19. Josephine

the preppy boatneck top of my DREAMS! One star off for the limited size range, but otherwise this pattern is fab!

  20. Lrain

I love this pattern, there are so many options. This is one pattern that gets used a lot.

  21. Terrie

This is one of my favorites! My favorite neckline is the asymmetrical collar, but have also made the funnel neck. I’ve made them out of lightweight sweater knits and French Terry and made two out of a sparkly midweight sweater knit for holiday wear. Really a versatile pattern with lots of options. And it’s an easy sew.

  22. Heide Fries

I have made 3 Terra Tunics and wear ’em all the time! Two are in DBP (double brushed poly) and one is in a Hacci knit. They fit great and are a breeze to make. The V-neck is surprisingly easy to do and is just the perfect proportions (not too deep or shallow). One of the best parts about sewing is I can make long sleeves the perfect length for me!

  23. FrenchieMom

This pattern has lots of options and is as easy to sew as a tee. The asymmetrical collar is also my favorite but the buttons on the boatneck version are so cute I already have plans to make it too. The possibilities are endless with the Terra Tunic!

  24. ksolson2010

Glad to see the full bust option. I just finished my first Terra Tunic after making my own FBA, not my favorite activity. The next one should be a lot easier!

    • Keira Wood

Oh yay! So happy the update is finally here and you can have your fba included! ~K

  25. Sue Maynard

Just made my sec Iond Terra Tunic from a loose sweater knit with the asymmetrical collar and it is a winner. I may try the V neck next. 🙂

  26. Tonya Boland

I love all the options on the Terra Tunic pattern. I have made the asymetrical neckline as well as the funnel neck. I love them both! I love a split hem, and the instructions for this step are easy to follow!

  27. Linda Tukkers

Love all the neckline options and as always the fit and description. This makes sewing easy.

  28. Elisabeth Hirschi

I love the necklines on this sweater! I feel like it is just packed with necklines that are made to look amazing!

  29. Barbara Davie

I LOVE the Terra Tunic. I have made 3 or 4 now and just cutting out another. I love the slits at the bottom, I love the different neck treatments, I love the welt pockets. The welt pockets: I didn’t know that they are meant to be tricky. I just followed the very clear and easy instructions and they work perfectly every time.

  31. Kathy Norris

I made this from a French terry black and white stripe from Girl Charlee Fabrics. It turned out great. The split neck gave me a bit of trouble but when I serged the color on it was perfect.

  32. Liz Bardon

The fit was perfect with no alterations! My first make was a V-neck and it went together fast and easy. I like the straight fit and the many, many options! It’s like buying a half dozen patterns for the price of one!

  33. Susan McArthur

I love this pattern so much, and I thank Love Notions Patterns, for giving me the confidence to make things that fit me, for the first time in my sewing life! I am so grateful to you and now feel encouraged to sew as a result of your great pattern making skills, thank you so much.

  34. beas59631

The Terra Tunic is one of my favorite LN patterns. I made mine with sweater knit and a cowl neckline. I am making another with a V-neck out of a French Terry fabric. It is a very easy pattern and the directions are perfect.

  35. Sue

Loads of options. Made a hooded version with welt pockets and a non hooded pattern with welt pockets. I enjoy wearing both.
Stylish easy to wear pattern. Excellent value pattern

  36. Luv SODA

Yes I have bought this pattern. The hood is cute I made this out of a fluffy throw blanket…need it bigger so I also love all the options. I have more makes planned than time LOL I also love the hand holding support group Thanks Love Notions!

  37. Karen Lewandowski

I made the asymmetrical neck version in a soft French Terry. It was easy to sew.

  38. Hannah Close

This is a gorgeous pattern, I made a v neck with a baby knit fabric which is perfect for spring, now I need all the options! Will absolutely be making more of these, I just love the split hem detail, and so much easier than I thought it would be!

  39. Sherry Eggleston

This pattern fits just right. The way to make boat neck neckline is simple and very professional finished look.Even the beginner can make it without problem.I will make more other neckline version.Love it.

  40. Casey Maupin

This is my TNT hoodie pattern. I have cropped it to high hip, made color blocked versions and used everything from jersey to French Terry to sweater knit. It is such a versatile, hackable pattern and so quick to make. I just saw a Free People long sweatshirt cardigan with elbow patches that the Terra would be a great dupe for. Love this pattern!
