Unlike most RTW stuff, your handmade garments evolved with a little bit of your personal life woven into them - the good, the bad, and even the ugly. Our handmade items often carry with them just a little more meaning. Maybe the story related to a pattern is happy, sweet, silly, scary, heartfelt, shocking, or even sad. Whatever the case, we absolutely cherish those stories you tell connected to our patterns - and would love to hear about your experiences during this celebration. So, what story do you have?

For the next week, as we prep for that fall site-wide 40 off, please share any standout memory that comes to mind when you look at one of your LN patterns. Your story might not only entertain but also inspire others as they sew and select patterns they’ll make memories with later.

How does this work?

Today is feature Friday for #TabithaTop and this one is full of special little details.

Today we are celebrating the Presto Tunic pattern update. This one got additional sizes and a done for you full bust adjustment option. The tutorial also got a little facelift and it is ready for you to enjoy! 

If you’ve previously purchased Presto Tunic, you can get the updated version by just heading into your LN account and redownloading from your pattern files (for free).

This pattern is a woven top meant for apparel fabrics. 
The tunic has a loose fit with gentle shaping with darts at the bust and optional fisheye darts at the back to give some shaping and enhance the silhouette. 

The collar of this pattern has two options: 
A) a standup banded collar which gives the tunic a polished look
Or
B) a super easy bias bound neckline which saves a ton of time.

The focal point of this pattern is that neckline! It’s an inset panel with a placket opening.  It can be a little tricky, but the results are soooo worth it. 
This spot is the perfect opportunity to mix up your fabrics and add some details: for example, you could 
🧵try a lace overlay, 
🧵an applique, 
🧵some embroidery, 
🧵some contrasting or coordinating fabrics, 
or
🧵you could even add a special detail like pin tucks

Now, to finish off the inset panel placket, you could use buttons or snaps or you could even leave them off entirely and just pair it with a cami. 

This inset panel also makes this pattern perfect for nursing moms. Or an easy to put on top for people with mobility considerations and honestly it’s pretty great if you don’t want to mess up your hair or makeup when you’re dressing 😉

Lastly, the pattern also features some chunky hem and side seam vents with a shortened front and a longer back - so you can comfortably wear this tunic with leggings or other bottoms you might not wear on their own. Or you could easily even them out and or shorten to and wear it as a regular length top or lengthen to wear as a dress.

Overall, this tunic is an intermediate sew–  but is so satisfying when you complete it.
