One of the easiest, many options, fun to wear, pdf pattern I have made. I have plans of making many more to wear around the house, at the gym, and to go out. Thanks for a great pattern.
Brianna –
This tee is perfect! Love the flowy fit and finally I have a perfect me pattern to use my lighterweight knits with.
Elisha –
Awesome top pattern and amazing instructions! Cant wait to be able to make more and for the cooler weather to come back in Aust to I can make the long sleeved version!
Lea –
Definitely an easy top to make, and extremely flattering too.
If you’re like I am, and have, shall we say – ample – upper arms, you may want to adjust the sleeve width and armscye depth.
Great length, and a nice neckline. I made the V-neck option.
Penny –
Free pattern? Check. Configured to be efficient in printing and simple in assembly? Check. Use the same pattern piece for front and back? Wow!
I was lucky enough to have a really big remnant from another project that was large enough for me to cut this out (using the shorter hemline). Easy easy easy to put together. My only problem was that my fabric (a mystery blend) was so soft that my neckband sags a little bit. Otherwise, the top is great!Very flattering and I especially like the hint of “skirtiness” without it having an actual waist seam. I plan to make another one, but I’m going to try a sleeveless version — I live in Florida and rarely need even short sleeves.
Dennise –
Such a wonderful pattern, and it makes such a lovely top!
linestrada –
I don’t think I really have to give a review as I don’t think there is anyone out there that has made this that had any issues or problems with it. Everyones versions look awesome. I love how this is form fitting up top and flowy where I need it to be. The only change I needed to make was to make it shorter but I’m a shorty. Another great pattern by Tami.
samantha –
Love Love Love this tee… its a great fit and a great pattern a must have for anyone’s wardrobe …
Rebecca –
Quick, easy and comfortable! The laundry day tee is a winner!
Carol –
I love the laundry day tee. It was easy to make. It was too tight for my preference but my friend was so happy to get it. Fixing to make me the next size up. Excited!!!!!
Amy –
Quick, easy, comfortable..I foresee many more in my future! Thanks for the free pattern!
danielle25856 –
Such an easy sew! I have only been sewing clothes a few months and I will def continue sewing with more of your awesome patterns!
Christina –
I absolutely love this pattern! It’s flowy but not so much that I look like a circus tent. Can’t wait to make many, many more!

Love this pattern!!! Can’t wait to make more!
nitelily3 –
I absolutely adore this top. I’ve made several and have received so many compliments. It’s so versatile and modifications are easy!
Katherine –
I love this pattern! I measured as a small and it fit perfectly with no alterations. I used a rayon spandex knit and it has a very flattering shape, fitted up top and drapey on the bottom. I am planning on making several more. The great instructions make it an easy and quick sew
Laura –
Great pattern! I’ve made 3 so far and I love them all.
Sara –
This is now one of my go-to top patterns, for myself and for gifts! It makes a great gift because it’s flattering on most body types, and it’s easy to guess the size. Also I can usually squeeze a short sleeved one out of around a yard, so it makes excellent use of remnants 🙂
alison –
Such an easy fast sew. I love how easy and perfect the neckline went on as well. Looks beautiful in a sweater knit.
mal1senior –
New to sewing knits. I can make anything stressful! LOL But, I love the way this turned out. It is a little snug fit after my overindulging during the holidays, but when I take a couple of pounds back off, I will take a picture and post it. In my opinion, it is a flattering fit. Due to the name, I was thinking of very casual, but if mine had not been snug, I would have worn it to church yesterday. Thanks for pattern. Now to try my skirt pattern!
Pamela –
Like so many other reviewers, this is one of my all time favorite patterns. I have made quite a few and just wanted to say that the ones I’ve made using a stretchy, drapey hacci are some of my favorites! Perfect for tunic length and worn with skinny jeans or leggings. So excited to start sewing up Lil LDT’s for the little girls in my life ?
Jaslyn –
Easy sew not to mention it’s super nice! Love the flowy fit! This pattern is so versatile and great for modifications! Love it!
Patty –
I love this pattern! The neckline, sleeve, and length options are fabulous. Thank you for publishing this great pattern.
bonnie –
Love this pattern! I’ve made it in a dress length with an old maternity dress of mine (finally! something to do with all those almost-new maternity clothes I’ll never wear again!), as well as in a tunic length with a slinky woven in the front. They’ve both so cute and I’ve gotten tons of compliments on it. I make the XS, which fits well for me when using woven for the front; when using all knits, I’ve had to grade in on the side seams for a closer fit (I’m a 33″ full bust, 26″ waist), but that’s easy to do. Thanks for a great pattern!
Isabelle –
This is one of my favorite pattern, love the fit. I am tall and thin. Being a mama of 4 kids under 7, I love to wear legging and tunic, this is the perfect pattern to have style and being confortable playing with the small ones.
Evelyn –
Fun, easy, simple instructions, what not to love? Oh, and outcome is beautiful!
Victoria –
First item of clothing I’ve ever sewn!
I’d never have believed I was capable of making my own clothes, but this pattern is so easy to follow and made the whole process a breeze.
So much fun and really made me excited to sew more and more!
Thanks so much!!
Amber –
This is a wonderful pattern! I am able to make beautiful flattering tops when others leave me desiring more. Very simple pattern, with easy to follow instructions.
Jan –
This is one of the best patterns I have sewn. Love the ease the fit the look!..and i love the neckline and sleeve options thank you!
Barbara –
It has been said that my mother would rather sew her girls a new dress rather than iron one. She would be thrilled with this pattern. I made myself an LDT last week and even adjusted it for my large breasts. It was easy and now I have a pattern just for me. Working on a Lil LTD today with matching leggings.
samsam7700 –
I have been waiting for a pattern like this one! I saw a picture of Simone wearing and LDT and I had to ask where they’d purchased it from. The instructions are clear. There are even tips for doing a slash and spread full bust adjustment as well as for grading and blending between sizes.
bbeav19611 –
I love how quickly this pattern sews. Easy instructions. You can cut and sew this LTD in less than 2hrs. Can’t wait to try the Lil’ LTD!
Mariana –
What an amazing pattern! Well described instructions, especially for the v-neck option (which is sometimes challenging). Fit is very good, but one must follow the fabric recommendations. I made my first with a fabric that didn’t have the required amount of stretch and the fit was a little snug. But if I had used a fabric as described in the instructions, it would have been a perfect fit. These have now become a staple in my wardrobe!
Kendel –
Super quick and easy sew. I love this top. Very comfortable too!!
Molly –
I love this shirt! Easy to wear, easy to make 🙂 Its a staple for any wardrobe!
Molly –
I love this shirt! It’s easy to wear and easy to make 🙂 A perfect wardrobe staple!
Cassandra –
Easy pattern even for a newbie like me! And I love how flowy and perfectly it fits – I want a whole wardrobe full of these!
susan –
Take a look in my closet- it’s all LDT! I wear them for everyday wear around the house, out on errands, and even to church- very versatile pattern. A quick and easy sew. Easy to vary the hemline- sharkbite, high/low for more variations. Fits well- medium bust graded to large hips.
myrnacmartinez –
This pattern is currently my #1 go to. It is great and super easy to follow. The fit is flattering and comes with many different options.
Amy –
Versatile, easy tee! I cut according to my full bust and the fit is perfect. SUPER FAST SEW.
Mikaela –
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful sew! So simple to construct, easy to follow directions, and very flattering.
Beth –
This was the first t-shirt I ever made. I made mine from a lightweight purple and left of the sleeves for a more tanktop effect. It drapes very nicely. I left it in the tunic length and wear it with black leggings. Fun outfit! Thanks for the great pattern!
Carla –
I love this top too. I was 19 weeks pregnant when I first made it and I can still wear my laundry day tee at 32 weeks and I think it will will still look good till I have the baby and after I have the baby comfortably. It is so easy to make and looks so good even with my beginner skills. I have made about 6 of it now and I wear all of them all the time. I have made the tunic and made it a little longer to make a dress. It’s so fun to make. Thank you for this great pattern.
Andrea –
I love this top too! Very comfy and easy to sew 🙂 Thanks!
Sarah –
I’ve made 2 of these in tunic length now, I love the simplicity and how quick it is to sew. I do have to adjust the side seams in a little for the most flattering look (xs size) but it’s a great pattern and there will be several LDT’s in my wardrobe this year!
Tiahna –
Such a great pattern! Love that it’s so versatile – makes a great pre-pregnancy dress that works into pregnancy!
masiellochris –
This is the pattern that introduced me to Love Notions Patterns & I haven’t looked back! Great support, attention to detail on patterns & instructions make construction a breeze. Fellow enthusiast support on their FB pages is great.
Cynthia –
First time making clothes and this pattern was perfect! Made two in different lengths and both are wearable! On the lookout for cute fabric to make more in varying sleeve lengths for all year long!
Melissa –
Easy, simple and the perfect pattern for an everyday top! Love that there are different necklines and various sleeve lengths! Can’t wait to fill my closet with LDTs!
Candice –
Absolutely love this pattern! So easy to follow – am a very new beginner and never sewed any clothing before so felt quite proud to complete a garment. Thank you Love Notions. Can’t wait to get started on all the other patterns I’ve purchased
Bobbie –
I love this top. It was easy to sew and the pattern was easy to follow.
Debbie –
This is one of the easiest tops to sew and wear, it comes together quickly and can be worn with straight skirts, pants, shorts, whatever you like. So many options! If you could only have one Love Notions Pattern it should be this one!
Leena –
Firs Love Notion -pattern I’ve ever done… and just love it! Easy downloading and pattern making from pfd-file. Instructions were easy to follow. Really, sewing couldn’t start easier!
Judi –
This was my first pattern and attempt at sewing with knit and LOVE IT. I have made 5 of these for myself and 4 for my adult daughter who is asking for more. Very easy pattern to adjust as well – I lack in the bust area so I cut the neckline a little higher since most shirts hang too low there and it worked out perfect – meaning it is not so complicated that you can’t make little adjustments since we are all made so different. I love that it is flowy around the hip area as I can’t stand tight clothing. This is the only shirt I have made for myself. You find perfection, you stay with it! Use solid for a t-shirt look or use a pretty print and it looks like a designer shirt! Same pattern, different looks. Love it.
Cassie –
Such an awesome pattern, it’s a bonus that it’s free! Thanks for such an easy to follow pattern and I love that you put the front/back on one piece… makes putting it together less time consuming!
puzzlnut –
I made my first LDT a couple of weeks ago. It’s so comfortable and flattering that I’ve since made 3 more and I won’t be stopping there. Lovely and cool in summer with short sleeves, make it with a heavier knit and long sleeves for winter. A winner all round! Thank you for a wonderful pattern!
Sarah –
Really appreciate the Full Bust Adjustment instructions included right in the pattern. I have three of these tops in my wardrobe and plan more for every season, especially now that the tank top cutting line has been added. Wonderful free pattern.
May –
I bought this pattern last night and made this top for the next day. I really really appreciate that I can print the size I need! I’m self taught and was mind blown lol! But the fit is just great! I’d suggest something with some stretch! I normally were oversized clothes because of two babies, but I made a medium and I feel confident in it ??I will def buy more patterns! ?
Jennifer –
This top is so flattering and the first thing I made with my precious brushed poly! I love it and get so many compliments every time I wear it! Your patterns are restoring my confidence in my ability to look and feel great! Thank you so much!
Jaslyn –
Love this pattern as it is very flattering. Not to mention it’s an easy sew and so versatile too!
claire –
I’d become dispondant with sewing because as a larger person got fed up with having to make adjustments all of the time. This pattern has made me excited to sew again. It is simple to download and put together. I love there is no cutting out required! I did have to do an FBA and slight shoulder adjustment but nothing major at all. The scoop neck is quite wide but the neckband does cinch it in. I made a toile at shirt length and then the real thing at tunic length and both sew up nicely. Such a comfy quick make, really like this pattern.
Victoria –
This is such a great pattern! It’s a great staple in my wardrobe and a simple, fast sew. If you’ve never made a Love Notions pattern before this is a great pattern to start with! Be careful though…you might get addicted.
Vanessa –
Love this pattern! So many options to make and the fit is great.
ashley –
I LOVE this top! Its so flattering and fun to make! 🙂
Emily –
One of my favorite PDF patterns and I love that is free if you have the correct code from the Facebook group. Both of my versions have been from a rayon/spandex fabric with great drape and I feel it flatters my pear-shape figure since it is fitted in the bust and then skims over my hips. I can’t wait to try the dress hack and cowl addition listed on the “tutorial” section of this website. Highly recommend this pattern!
Debbie –
I made a test version and realized I need to size down but can tell that I am going to love it made in my good fabric. It is a very quick sew with clear instructions. Great pattern!
Davita –
Such an easy sew! So quick and looks amazing. Made a tunic length with French terry and a brushed poly cowl from the blog. It’s beautiful for fall.
Kara –
Fabulous staple/sloper pattern!
-Great fit.
-Layered pdf!!!
-Super easy to take the pattern together
-Modifications will be endless!
-Thorough instructions for those who stop long enough to read them…
I’ve made one short sleeve shirt for myself as a “muslin” in fabric I didn’t care much about, and promptly wished I’d used the good fabric. It fit great! It was super easy to grade the hem into a high low. I’ll definitely make more!
amy –
I made my first LDT! The instructions were perfect… A lot of times when a pattern company offers a free pattern it is bare bones, but Love Notions really went all out with this one! So many options and really great sewing tips and tools for any beginner sewist to have in their repertoire! To top it all off I sewed this for my mother in law, and she loved it…no small feat pleasing the MIL! I kid…
Davita –
Great pattern. Easy to follow. Quick to make. Recently made one and I am 34 weeks pregnant. Fits well no mods needed. Looks great on my sister who is not pregnant too (I was seeing how it would fit after baby!)
Sarah –
How many LDT’s is too many? I love this shirt and would recommend it to everyone!
Tammy –
Lovely top and easy for a beginner. Can’t wait to make more!
Alisha –
This is my new favorite pattern! So simple and quick. I have made two tunics so far–both turned out fabulous. Elegant and flattering!!
Charlotte –
This is the only top pattern you will need! Change the hemline, change the neck…Add a collar, cowl, or good. Make a dress, make a tunic, make a maxi. Flattering on everybody and I mean everybody! If only we could get everyone to wear the tunic with leggings it would be a wonderful world!!!
Anne –
This tee is so comfy and versatile! I’ve made three and I’m not done yet! Time to try out some hacks!
Meizhu –
My 3rd LN pattern. I am so glad to find Love Notions and especially this Laundry Day tee! Been doing a few LN patterns today and this is my absolute favorite! Easy sew and as usual fantastic instructions! Matched perfectly with leggings. Wish I didn’t have to go out. I have 2 more cut up, can’t wait to finish them tomorrow!
tane8876 –
Very pleased with this top. Fit is good and so versatile! Thanks for such a lovely pattern. This is definitely my go-to pattern!
jillscookiesanddreams –
Very simple sew, but not my favorite fit. It swallows me up. I do love the dress hack options!
Sue –
I found this site on one of my fabric groups and could not be happier that I did. I have had 3 patterns printed and made my first LDT yesterday. I love the simple lines. I raised the scoop up about 1″ and its perfect. I am looking forward to making more.
Lesley –

Mary Ann –
very easy sew and love the flowy fit- great to wear over leggings- going to make more for spring
isabel –
Love your generosity =) The fit it lovely, i just adjusted the front/armpit a bit to fit my body! Otherwise a nice pattern! Thank you!
Nicole –
Overall an awesome pattern. Easy to make in so many different options that it doesn’t feel like the same shirt over and over – but even the same in different colors is great! Easy to alter for a slightly different look, color block, etc. One of my go to patterns!
ilovetosew8 –
Easy to sew and great instructions. Saw a lot of hacks for this top in the tutorials. Will definitely give it a go the next time.
Megan –
An easy to understand pattern with great results. I made the shorter length, size XL graded out to XXL at the bottom for lots of swing. The instructions were very clear and it’s a great confidence-building project for beginner sewists!
Patty –
This is one of my favorite patterns! Thank you so much! I even did a curved hem modification of my own.
Kristian –
This is one of my absolute favorite patterns!
Evelyn –
So comfortable and easy sew! Made few sizes and tried different fabrics, never disappoints!
Tammy –
I have yet to make this, however I LOVE the tabbed feature of the pattern! Why can’t all pdf patterns be like this??? Thank you for this awesome resource. 😀
Amelia_91 –
Brilliant. Made my first LDT today, I will be making many more so quick and easy. Great clear instructions and love the way I can print out just my size.
Trista –
I love this pattern. Such an easy and quick sew and you get an amazing product afterwards.
Amanda –
I used this pattern to make a shirt for my mom while she was visiting for the week. It was so quick and easy for a new sewist like myself. Most importantly, she loved it! Thank you for the great pattern
Elizabeth –
Easy to make. I made the tank and use it for workouts. I like the width of the “straps” and the armscythe. But I probably wouldn’t make this again. It doesn’t make “the ladies” look great.
diane –
I finally made this pattern. I had been eyeing it for a while. And I had some jersey in my stash. The directions are clear and it goes together easily and fits great! I love it!!!
Cassandra –
Love the LDT! I’m not kidding when I say probably half of the shirts I wear are from this pattern. Very flattering and comfortable with the right fabric! Easy directions, and great pattern.
Ashley –
Love the LDT!! Great pattern
Glenda –
I just made up a LDT tank version….this is the first time I’ve used the new version. LOVE IT!!! While I also loved the old version….the subtle restyling of the iconic LDT is significant. For me the fit is better around the arm-hole….I didn’t have a problem with the original fit….but this is more refined …. in all the right places….I live in the desert, so having tops and dresses that look slimming, but don’t cling are such a treat to wear. Choose fabric perfect for the climate you live in…Nothing off the rack can compare! Thank you again for all your hard work Tami!
ashley –
I love this pattern! It is very flattering and comfortable. I have made many and even a few as pjs! 🙂
wpeck –
I love the fit and simplicity of this pattern. It just looks great, and is one of the most comfortable tops I have ever worn. I have my own T-shirt pattern for a plain V neck that I’ve used for years. I’m thinking it might get dusty going forward.
andreawirtanen –
One of my favorite patterns! Have used tee and dress variations. Both are wonderful patterns for wardrobe staples. Be sure to used fabric with enough drape to get desired look.
kbenert –
I have had this pattern for a while, but only recently actually sewed it up! It was very easy. I made the sleeveless option in dress length, and it is now the cutest, most comfy nightgown. I will be making it again!

Alyssa –
Love love love this pattern! My favorite shirt pattern! So easy to make and is so forgiving, I’ve guessed at sizes for gifts and it always still works!
Debi Mager –
This was the first Love Notions pattern I tried. I had been trying patterns from another company and was so disappointed that the tops were all so snug/fitted no matter how I sized up. I had a friend who told me to try this top. It was free so I tried it. I’ve been hooked on Love Notions patterns since! It’s easy to sew, easy to understand directions, multiple views to pick from…and most importantly, it fits a real woman’s body.
Alicia –
Love the LDT, it’s such a simple yet beautiful pattern with so many options! This is my go-to pattern as it’s versatility makes it so fun.
lrain1 –
This was my first love notions pattern I have only made one of the tunic length, I did a round neckline and then made a detachable cowl so I could wear it two ways. It turned out very well. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I am still looking forward to making the dress version.
Suzanne –
I love the Laundry Day Tee pattern. It can be used to make from a shirt to a tunic/dress! So versatile!
Vicki Mullis –
This is the first pattern I have ever used that fit perfectly with out having to fuss with it, or make multiple alterations! Extremely easy, I was able to complete it in just a couple hours. The only confusing part was where to cut the armholes on the pattern but I took a colored marker and highlighted the cut line making it easy to see. Definitely see many more variations in my future!
mommurri08 –
I love the fit of this pattern – I have a bit of a mom tummy and this skims over it beautifully. Probably my most used LN pattern!
avbrannigan –
I love that the LDT looks great even on the last day of vacation….after I have enjoyed too many meals!
Becky Hubbard –
It truly lives up to its name! So fast to sew, and so versatile. I love that shorten/lengthen lines are included as well as the full bust piece. The cowl option adds a really classy touch.

Margaret Eames –
Such a versatile top, can never have too many and fit a treat. Im almost at the point where there are more ME MADE items in my wardrobe than purchased. Can’t be bad. Thank You Love Notions.
lindaclbc –
This was my first Love Notions pattern and my favorite. Our American Sewing Guild chapter has a LDT see in day where we help members fit and sew their top or dress. We have ours scheduled for 9/18 this year and it will be our 3rd time. Most go home wearing their creations! FYI I’ve done the scoop neck using my cover stitch knit binder.
Jahnavi –
Absolutely love everything about this patter. I got it to make the dress version and it doesn’t disappoint!
Jahnavi Parekh –

amati22 –
This pattern has it all. different lengths, necklines and FBA pieces already done for you! Have made about 6 of these so far. You can’t go wrong! Easy to put together.
Betsey –
Love this pattern! Thank you! ????
Sharon Duddleston –
I have made 6 LDT’s and wear them a lot! With inspiration from Karina (affiliate sewer) I have made some variations. I added a vertical fisheye dart to the back, and I use the pattern to redesign thrift store clothing for myself. I’m having great fun with it. Next I want to try a V neck modification! Easy & quick to sew! I’m in a sewing group at church and the ladies are always excited to see what I’ve created next!
Julie Morgan –
The LDT name says it all! Like so many others, the variations make this an exceptional value! P.S. Who doesn’t love a nice cool dress to wear in the summer & not be so bare?!
10identical –
I think everyone’s already said all that needs to be said but I will add one more voice to confirm that this is a cute and super quick pattern! I’ve only made the shirt with short sleeves so far but want to try a dress and a long-sleeved top soon!
Jenny B –
This was the first PDF pattern I ever made(about 6 years ago!) and it was such a great pattern and has was the catalyst for getting me back into sewing!

Sharon Gilbert –
This is my all time favorite pattern! It’s has a very flattering fit, doesn’t cling anywhere, and is a bit swishy on the bottom. I’ve made it 8 times in ity, dbp, and cotton/spandex. Pattern drafting and instructions are great
schroeder1987 –
Perfect summer dresses. Flattering on a pear shape and directions were very easy to follow.
Karen –
Such a fantastic and versatile pattern!! I have made so many slight modifications to the style of this T, that I have seen it 15 or 20 times and every single pattern is different! I’ve made shirts, tunics, dresses, long dresses, short sleeve, long sleeve, and cold shoulders. Both in winter and summer styles. I do have to admit that hacci sweater knit and DBP are my 2 fave fabrics to use.
marciadumas –
I love the versatility of this pattern. What a bargain for all the options and it is a great pattern to try out the Love Notions company. Made it up in a fall knit, now anxious to try it as a beach cover up and also as a swimsuit knit boat-beach-bar appropriate outfit. Should be fantastic in the UPF50 knit.
This pattern led me to purchase all manner of Love Notions patterns for knits and wovens in tops, pants, and dresses. Really like those patterns that includes variations to use either knit or woven fabrics.
Thank you so much Love Notions. I have more patterns than sewing time!
Amy Evans –
Honestly my favorite Love Notions pattern. Although, I always add pockets.
Mic Cas –
This is a great basic pattern, that can look so different based on the fabric choosen. It’s a must.

Such a fantastic pattern with a classic silhouette!
Deneane Keane –
The loose fit of the LDT makes it very forgiving and perfect for beginners! I haven’t tried the dress option yet, but it’s on my list!
Angela –
This pattern is a staple in my closet. I just love the flowy fit of it, and it looks so cute with leggings! I love wearing this for teaching because it’s so comfortable. The instructions are easy to follow, although now I don’t even need to look at the instructions anymore. 🙂
Josephine –
This pattern is a must-have.
Kristen Will –
Absolutely lives up to its name! This sees up so quick and sew beautifully each time: tank, tee, dress, or hack, I can always count on the laundry day tee when I need a quick basic for my closet.
Jolene –
I have made this pattern several times as a dress with cap sleeve and 3/4 sleeve options and these dresses are some of my most worn pieces of clothes! I will definitely make even more and try the tunic aswell! Thanks for the free pattern.
Jill Russell –
This pattern made me able to whip up a Dino shirt for my grandsons fourth birthday party. I was the coolest Nana ever!!
Christine Creer –
Excellent go to pattern. Flows away from the body to hide my post menopausal tummy. Love it.
Jeanie Payne –
Love that pattern! I’ve made long sleeve tunics, short sleeve tunics, a dress and a nightgown. So comfy and easy to make.
Joy Moore –
I hope you don’t get tired hearing how fabulous your patterns are. This was my first Love Notions pattern, the sign-up freebie. Wasn’t holding-my-breath since I had had such bad experiences with previous patterns, but, Love Notions turned out to be a game-changer for me, sewing-wise and personal-wise. Thank you
Rachel –
Lots of options! I do a bicep and bust adjustment to get the perfect fit for me to wear over leggings.
dmschindlbeck –
This pattern is so versatile! I’ve used it for nightwear, dresses, swim coverup and tank top to name a few.
Terrie –
What can I say that hasn’t already been said??? It’s just the perfect pattern. I’ve used it for tops, tunics, dresses and swimsuit coverups using all kinds of fabrics. This is a great pattern for someone just starting to sew knits, but I will make one warning. Once you’ve made this one, you’re hooked on Love Notions patterns and will want them all!
Mary Powell –
It feels redundant to write another gushing review about how awesome this pattern is, even if it’s all true. So I will add a few nitpicky criticisms just to balance it all out. 1) I wish it were easier to find the required stretch percentage for each pattern. 2) The armscye for the tank version did not fit me (full bust xl) well. I had to make several mock ups before I worked out a version that covered my hefty bra straps. 3) I can’t think of another issue. It really is an awesome pattern.
Gerrie Duran –
I found Love Notions in 2020. I purchased the LDT, to give it a try. I love comfy knit tops, for all seasons. I’ve made LDTs for everyone in my family. The pattern has easy but detailed instructions. I’ve enjoyed using this pattern so much so, that I began creating my own pattern stash of more Love Notions patterns.
Heather –
This really is such a versatile pattern! I have made so many of these I can’t even count them! My mom requested one of every color!! The LDT can be dress or casual depending on your fabric and accessories! Super easy to make and works with such a variety of materials it is a must-have!
sidewalkshoes2 –
162 reviews should probably tell you something! It’s an amazing pattern. So versatile. I’ve made a crew neck short sleeved version and a long sleeved cowl neck version. My daughter made a v-neck tee shirt. I’m 63 and she is 34, and we both love the pattern! The fitted shoulders and bust with the flare at the hips is flattering on everyone. I plan on making a bunch more long sleeve t shirts for the winter and some short sleeved t-shirt dresses for the summer!
FrenchieMom –
An easy sew with great results. After finally making a 3/4 length sleeve version, I realized it’s actually a great year round pattern. Can’t wait to try the cowl!
Cathy Kenyon-Owens –
I’m absolutely thrilled with my LDT! I made the long-sleeved tunic length with cowl neck and it’s gorgeous. I will definitely be making more from this pattern, but will make the armscye and sleeves slightly wider if the fabric isn’t super-stretchy. Thank you for a fabulous pattern!
theresa.borchardt –
This was easy to make and I’m a true beginner. But because I’m a true beginner, I probably used the wrong fabric. It had some stretch but not enough. I also made the wrong size!!! But the sleeves – do yourself a favor and hem the sleeves before you sew them on. Trust me on this. The cuffs of the sleeves are pretty skinny and they would not fit around my sewing machine even using the free arm. I’ll try again using the next size up and different fabric.
andrea.hilton809 –
This was such a quick and easy sew! Have already made a few and look forward to making more!
raceholm –
My first LN make, I love these patterns. They are clear with easy to follow instructions. Also, when I have any trouble, the pattern support is phenomenal!
Stephanie Worley –
Such a great make. I love it with the V-neck and Noreen Mays video helped me conquer it. So easy to make.
geraldine.gasson55 –
Love love love this pattern, not just because it was free. It is so easy, the instructions are very good. I have made t-shirt & a dress, & I have also had the confidence to chop the pattern about a bit to make a gathered top on the front. The fit is great like a made to measure. Can’t fault it
Caren Augsburger –
Good pattern. Easy to follow directions. An excellent place to start for anyone who hasn’t sewn knits before, or a quick sew for an experienced dewiest.
Maya Oya –
This pattern is highly versatile. I used the sleeveless one to make a razor back dress and it was great.
Only downside it that it needs a lower back adjustment for me, which is very tricky with projector patterns.
marysews –
I have used this pattern 22 times with many variations. It gives me a great fit at the shoulders (my body’s hanger) and flares right on past the fluffy bits.
Tamsyn Higgs –
Such a great pattern! I have made it several times – one for my sister in law who was pregnant with twins. She said it was the only dress she could comfortably wear at the end of her pregnancy (I did add some length to accommodate for her belly). My teenage daughter loves the swing style for her nightdress. I have also added a front zipper for my sister in law when she was recovering from masectomy surgery. She still uses it as a swim cover. Very versatile pattern – and free when you join the facebook group.
Sam Wilson –
Thrilled with the top I made with this pattern. I was a bit worried by the small armscye but went ahead to cut and sew it as per the pattern figuring it could be a muslin if it wasn’t wearable. Ha! I’ve worn that top so many times. It certainly isn’t a muslin. That armscye is just fine.
masters –
Haven’t sewed for at least 25 years. Chose this pattern to begin with. Very easy to follow directions. Love the ability to make adjustments where needed with no difficulty. Definitely purchasing more of your wonderful patterns.
Bridgid Alexander –
This was my first Love Notions pattern and it’s a new favorite. It’s simple and easy to make but beautifully constructed. The fit is flattering and there are so many options. I’ve made the tee length and tunic without any changes and both are my new go-to tops. I used a hemp/cotton blend and the drape is perfect. I asked a fit question and got a quick response – now I’m excited to try out more Love Notions patterns! Definitely recommended!
pcentlivre –
Great pattern, easier than I thought it would be.
Cheryl Mcmurray –
This is the pattern that brought me back into sewing and the wonderful world of Love Notions! I had never used a serger before and the instructions were very easy to follow. I’ve made 5 different variations for myself now and my sister gets me to make them for her.. I have one on the cutting table right now ????
Cheryl –
This is my very favorite pattern! It is easy to sew and looks fabulous on all types of bodies!!
twosaners –
Love this pattern! As someone with a pear shape the shaping helps fit my upper torso with less adjustment to the hip area. The range is sizes that the pattern is graded to is wonderful to help in those adjustments. Appreciate the various options to mix and match to get more variety from a single pattern. This was my first purchase and made me a fan of your patterns. Only reason it didn’t fare a 5 star is that I believe we all have the ability to achieve even more!
Linda Tukkers –
I made the armhole somewhat deeper, lovely fitting at the burst / body.
Linda Tukkers –
I made the armhole somewhat deeper, lovely fitting at the burst / body. My first v- neck!!! ????
sassymcreations –
Is it possible to have too many LDTs? I think not. Got 4 cut and ready to sew for mom today.
Elisabeth Hirschi –
I love how easy it is to sew and how effortless it is to wear! Always a favorite!
Diane Meskan –
Easy pattern I love how it turned out. I made it with some inexpensive Rayon Jersey as a muslin. I am going to finish it so I can wear it came out great.
mcmahe –
I got this as a fit test for Love Notions in general, and I’m very pleased with it. I’ve only made it in the recommended drapey rayon/lycra blend, and I’d suggest listening to that advice as I think stiffer cotton-lycra wouldn’t look as good. But my several iterations have all been very good, pleasantly swingy on the bottom and well-fitting on top (size chosen according to my body mesurement without any second guessing). In addition, this has the easiest and most successful v-neck I’d ever achieved, so I’m doubly grateful for that.
Karen –
Being a quilter, I timidly decided to try sewing clothing for myself when I saw the Laundry Day pattern. I thought it was an exaguation that it could be made in an afternoon. It wasn’t, even as a beginner I was able to complete in one day. Easy to follow instructions & a very comfortable dress. I love wearing it to work & feel like I’m in pajamas.
lpostuchow –
It has been such a long time since I sewed anything. I usually would sew for someone else. Now I am addicted to sewing for myself! I am an Apple body shape and within a short amount of time I have made I have a few lovely tunics and a dress. I love this pattern. So easy and quick to sew up. I can make a lovely top or dress in a day and I love it!
serenaford –
I love this pattern. It comes together so quickly and easily and produces a stylish garment that suits all body types. Like all Love Notions patterns the sizing is realistic and there is so much help available through Facebook support group and the website blog.
odyjimg –
I have made this pattern so much, I have lost count!! It is by far my fave TNT pattern. I have made it for me, my daughters, and my sister in law. I added ruffles to the bottom of the skirt, and added all kinds of different sleeves. The fit is wonderful, and once you get it fitted, BOOM, less than a day sewing!! The LDT is so cute on, and great for every beginner. I am not a beginner, but love this pattern all the more.
Sharon Taylor –
I got this pattern for free by joining the Love Notions Facebook page. It’s a wonderful pattern and they aren’t kidding when they say you can make it faster than you can do your laundry. I cut mine out one evening. The next morning I sewed it together and wore it to church. It only took fifteen minutes!! (I actually timed it!) I know I’ve made at least a dozen LDTs. My daughters love the dress too. They’ve asked me to make more for them. It fits well and is such an easy sew. The directions are clear and easy to follow. You should get one! You’ll love it!
Anne Pericoi –
Great pattern and great tee: I wear it as soon as it comes out of the wash. Very clear instructions and nice pattern.
a_merton –
I am a brand new sewer for clothing and I was terrified! This and other patterns made it look easy so I decided to try it! I made my first LDT and it was easy!!! The instructions are easy to read and understand! The outcome is a beautiful flowing shirt and I love it!! Thank you so much for making this newbie friendly!
Petra Merryman –
This was first pattern I tried. Love that it has so many options for sleeves and lengths. I want to make them all!!
Rosetta –
Flattering fit, easy to size for my own body, and ever so comfortable. As usual, the pattern is easy to read and follow.
Edith –
This was my first Love Notions pattern and I was hooked. The fit is fabulous. The instructions are amazing for a new sewist like myself. The pattern is very versatile as I can dress it down or dress it up.
Kathy Norris –
This was my first LN sew and I was immediately hooked. It fit so well and so I made a dress. Loved it too.
Margaret Monson –
Easy pattern that fits well, especially with the full bust adjustment. I’ve never had a tunic length shirt so decided to try it, seems a bit long to me as 5’5″, but I guess I wouldn’t know ???? otherwise, I’m not a scoop or v-neck girl, so I had to borrow the crew neck from the classic tee pattern, I wish crew neck was included standard.
Katharine van der Heijden –
Love how this looks on me and the multiple options. I’ve made 3 and I know there will be more. Especially with matching pattern for my mini-me
priscila_anunciacao –
I love the shaping of this tee, the instructions are great. My only problem with it is the fit in the shoulders, it is too narrow for me, even thou I have no problems with other Love Notions patterns. I always end up making it sleeveless, which is great anyway.
Nat Matthews –
The Laundry Day Tee has to be the most used Love Notions pattern in my pattern library. I love the shaping of this tee – so flattering. The instructions are so easy to follow which is a win for any new sewer.
Michelle Row –
Super easy pattern to sew! I made the dress out of stretch mesh for a swimsuit cover-up. I love it!! I will be making more dresses!
Karen –
I love this pattern. It was my first ever PDF sew, and began my adventures in stretch sewing. It’s a straightforward pattern to follow, and produces a great result.
Andrea Ziegler –
My first Love Notions make for myself and the first item I have made in a long time that fits perfectly and I absolutely love.
Andrea Ziegler –
My first Love Notions make for myself and the first item I have made in a long time that fits perfectly and I absolutely love.
Nancy Harnois –
Quick and easy sew and I love how comfortable I am wearing the LDT. I have lost count of how many I have made at this point in the shirt and dress length. The versatility of the pattern makes it so outstanding!
Liz Bardon –
What can I say? It’s a classic and a perfect intro to Love Notions patterns.
Kristi Craft –
This is a great first pattern to try from Love Notions. There are lots of different versions so you won’t have a closet with tee’s that all look alike. Don’t let the V-neck scare you off of that neckline style. It is a super easy technique to sew and mine came out perfectly on the first try. I definitely recommend trying this pattern.
Pamela White –
I made this dress for my neighbor friend for Christmas and loved it so much I will be maing myself one very soon.
shelley Kearney –
I made the v neck dress version in a lovely light weight tercel jersey as a nightie. it’s perfect – comfortable and cool to wear. I think the Love Notion block fits my shape nicely. I highly recommend this pattern – the construction and fit is great.
thered.sarah –
I love this, especially as tunic with leggings. The looseness hides my ever changing tummy and it is so comfy without making me look like I might be expecting. I have now made three and have the fabric for more!
karen.d.warren –
Good staple pattern! Thanks!
Sharon Taylor –
If I could I’d give the Laundry Day Tee ten stars! It’s the fastest sew ever! One morning I put it together in fifteen minutes and wore it to church. (I had previously cut it out) I think the fit it’s really flattering and I’ve made more than a dozen of them!
christeldeann –
I turned the LDT into a dress and it is now one of my favorites. Easy and comfortable. Now I need more fabric to actually make the tee. This will be a TNT pattern.
Gerrie Mooney –
One of my favorite patterns made several
michelle.fisk –
This was my first time really working with knit fabric and this patten couldn’t be easier. I can’t wait to make more!!!!!!
stitchesintyme –
I love the no trim pages! I am looking forward to making shirts for both me and my granddaughter.
lynnbuckland –
This was the first Love Notions Pattern I’ve tried and it went together very easily and looks great. The patten instructins were very easy to follow. I will definitely be making more in the future. It fits perfectly and is very comfortable to wear.
Ann Birchard –
This pattern is a go-to of mine. Perfect fit every time. Thank you for such a great pattern.
Sally Holmes –
I love the tunic length to wear with leggings, such a great pattern
Terri Strong –
This was my first make from Love Notions. Made a longer length because I like t-shirts to cover my rear and ready to wear shirts rarely do. Really simple pattern and a flattering shape for someone like me with wide hips and narrow shoulders. I did have to recut the short sleeves a second time because they are too narrow at the bottom for me, but I just drew them out straight with the same size as the top of the arm and they were fine.
Susan McArthur –
I made this first of all and immediately fell in love with Love Notions patterns, and feel so pretty in them, this is another pattern that I love so much, and I thank Love Notions Patterns, for giving me the confidence to make things that fit me, for the first time in my sewing life! I am so grateful to you and now feel encouraged to sew as a result of your great pattern making skills, thank you so much.
Karen Baily –
This is the cutest little tshirt dress! Easy instructions and Fit ft me perfectly right out of the box!
janelleemsley –
This is one of the easiest things to make. The instructions are clear and it’s a super quick sew. I’ve made multiples for many different people, in tunic and dress length, from size S to 3X and it’s flattering on everyone. And I love that there are so many options to make them all look a little different.
KV Headen –
This pattern was easy to sew & has different lengths that you can make. The instructions were easy to understand.
mdjemil –
My first Love Notions pattern I ever made and I love this dress – so easy to make and wear – very flattering shape. Have since bought and made many more Love Notions patterns as they are so well drafted and the instructions are fantastic. Thank you Love Notions for helping me on my sewing journey!
Meg Mani –
This was the first pattern I sewed up and it’s my favourite. The swing style is just perfect and it is a staple in my wardrobe. Have made summer and winter ones with the cowl neck. Absolutely adore this pattern.
bought.receipts –
Excellent pattern! Last February, we found out we were 12 weeks along with a surprise! Our older 3 are all teenagers, so I had given away all my maternity wear. I altered this pattern about a half dozen different ways to make a fairly extensive maternity and nursing wardrobe.
Overall, the pattern as written is simple, comfortable, and quick to sew. It’s also very easy to alter and make all kinds of different style tops, tunics, and dresses. Best of all – it was free, which is a big bonus when you find out you’re adding another whole person to your family unexpectedly!
mommurri08 –
I’ve lost count of how many of these I have made. It’s loose enough to hide my mom tummy!
Rene Lewthwaite –
This was my first LN pattern that I ever made. Super easy to make and really comfortable (I have four dress versions in my cupboard!). It’s simple enough to make adjustments to the pattern to get your preferred fit and works perfectly with lightweight knits which is ideal for those hot summers.
paintedpawstudio –
I used this pattern to make a t-shirt dress that is so cute and comfy. It was really easy to make and the instructions were clear. Thanks!
paintedpawstudio –
I used this pattern to make a t-shirt dress. The pattern is very easy to follow and super cute!
Susan Richardson –
Love, love, love this pattern! My first make after a hiatus of 20 years. The directions were clear and It sewed up quickly. It was so successful that Ive made 2 more. My favorite tops to wear!
Anita Blake –
One of my favorite T-shirt patterns! This is such a quick and easy sew. I have several of these in my closet. I use the full bust pattern and the fit is always perfect.
Luv SODA –
Yes I have this pattern. I also love the options. I have more makes planned than time LOL I also love the hand holding support group Thanks Love Notions!
Susan McArthur –
I love this pattern so much. I’ve made warm tops out of it, lighter fabric tops, and next a dress, and because of your great pattern making skills, you have given me the confidence to make clothes and enjoy wearing them, I am so incredibly grateful to you for that
Luv SODA –
Yes I have this pattern. It started it all… I also love the options. I have more makes planned than time LOL I also love the hand holding support group Thanks Love Notions!
gaye.teague –
Gorgeous cut – so flattering! and an easy make. I’ve made tunic length and T shirt. I will keep working at making a neat neck band ( my nemesis!)
pooyot –
Love this pattern. One of my favorite “ go-to” patterns. Very versatile….I’ve even added a few of my own touches with some of them. Thanks for the pattern !
Dianne Wood –
SUPER easy to make, and so quick! I’ve made this with plain, V, and cowl neck finishes, and all are easy and flattering. This is my go-to for a quick, easy project!
quiet.cloth2373 –
This pattern was my introduction to Love Notions. Being offered at a reasonable price, I couldn’t pass it up. When I made my muslin, it turned out perfect and fit so well! So much so that I am wearing it. And it got me started on buying knits again.
Janet Beckham –
Great, easy to follow pattern with multiple necklines and length’s. Love the look, but sizing up for gramma fit!
Jody Mashensic –
I absolutely LOVE this pattern! I made two dress length ones in DTY sleeveless for beach wear and they have become one of my favorite all around casual items.
Ronda Cassens –
The fit was very good and it is very quick to put together. I made one for my mom and one for myself and they both tuned out great. I have fabric picked out to make another for the summer season!
Lynn –
This is the pattern that started my love notions addiction. As I sit on a lanai in Maui, I am wearing a beautiful yellow flower LDT. As a larger woman I find this pattern fits me perfectly. I don’t have to make any alterations. A 2x fits beautifully. I am very conscience of any belly rolls showing but with this pattern I don’t have to worry if it will fit.
Verna Hartinger –
I have made three of these for myself, recommended it to a friend who made it (personalizing it with embroidery), and made another one that was too short for me (I am tall and accidentally forgot to lengthen it when I had to reprint it because the original had become worn out). I gave the too-short one to another friend who, some months later, wore it to a symphony concert. I saw her and thought, “Oh, that is a really pretty top” and then realized it was the one I had made!
Melanie –
This was the very first knit dress I ever made, and it was so easy! I love the classic design and it is so flattering!
a_merton –
First pattern I had ever tried…I love how detailed the instructions were and made it super easy for a newbie like myself to try out!! Highly recommend!
Jennifer Hadley –
Very quick and easy pattern! My husband bought some fabric for me and immediately wanted to use it on this pattern. It sewed up beautifully and is great to use for around the house or going out!
Kim Rengert –
I love my first laundry day tee, it has just the right amount of swing to it and it was such a fuss-free easy make.
Stephanie Worley –
Such a great top. Easy to make as is and so easy to personalize. I have quite a few in my closet and I love to wear them.
barkers4 –
This is such an easy pattern but you can really elevate it depending on the fabric and view. I made a summer style and wore it so much this year! I will definitely be making more for next summer but in the mean time, I have a cute plaid and I’m going to make a long sleeve and lengthen the dress for Christmas. I think it will be warm and cozy paired with tights.
Rhonda Brooks –
This is such a quick sew for an easy summer tee dress! I have made several and they are so comfortable to wear.
Rosemary Nease –
So easy to make. I have sewn two already!
cgormley54 –
Love this pattern. Out of 2 yards of fabric I’ve made a tank and a knee length dress that I added cap sleeves to. I have worn both all summer long. I hate to put them away for the winter. I just bought some knit at a really great price so I may make a floor length dress with long sleeves to wear with boots and a cover jacket. Love, love these patterns. Thank you.
BeauNoze –
I have made so many iterations of this pattern and will make many more. I’ve done t-shirts with long sleeves, 3/4 sleeves, short sleeves, flutter sleeves. Dresses with all the sleeves. It’s so easy and versatile and very flattering. I highly recommend it.
Monika Doro –
This pattern continues to be a popular pattern for a reason! I made this last year for Christmas with a stretch velvet with little tiny rhinestones from JoAnn’s before they went out of business. I chose this because it was a super fast pattern to fit and sew. Plus it really showcased this beauty of the fabric. I find that the LN patterns are an easy fit for me with my tall, plus-size, DD full bust with narrow shoulders.
Lana Ashley –
Love this pattern as an easy breezy summer tee dress. I made mine in ItY knit. It is so flowy, airy and comfortable in summer weather with a pair of sandals or flip flops. I will definitely be making more of these!
Virginia Kingsbury –
This is my most made Love Notions pattern. It really is easy and quick-and comfortable! I made one in and hour the night before we left for Disney. There’s enough options that the tops don’t look the same. Have one on the cutting table now for my mom.
