This was the pattern I needed so badly! I had a ratty old nightgown, and wanted a new one. But the fit had to perfect and it had to be extremely comfortable. I made the nightgown out of DBB and love it so much! The fit was true to size. It was simple and uncomplicated. I will make many more!! Thank you for a great pattern!!
Glenda Bell –
I just made up the Luna sleep shorts ….. I LOVE this pattern! A quick sew……Fit was spot on….no needed adjustments except I preferred to cut my elastic 2 inches longer. …. and I did a faux drawstring. I’ll be sewing from this incredibly versatile pattern for a long time….Thank you so much Love Notions!

Instructions are easy to follow. Love it like every other Love Notions pattern I own!
Heide Fries –
This is a must have pattern … at first I didn’t see the possibilities but have since realized just how useful and versatile the pattern is. The sew-along Kelly did was so helpful and that prompted me to dive in. The Cami is a really quick sew, I used a binder attachment with my cover stitch machine to do the neckline/straps. Came out great with either fold over elastic or knit binding. My first ever pair of shorts I was able to make a straight size and they fit perfectly. I did find the pockets were a little small to fit my hands but it was an easy adjustment to make them larger for my next pair. I’m also planning to make a few slips. When I combine the bottoms with other LN patterns I have (Summer Basic Tank/ Classic Tee, etc.) I’ll be able to make year-round PJ’s. Definitely a pattern I will use a lot!
Teresa Shaver –
I’ve made the nightie about 5 times now and it’s such a lovely straightforward pattern.
Stephanie Bergman –
Love this pattern! I’ve made a few and hacked it into an empire waist so it’s not tight in my belly. Love it!
Linda Ross –
the nighty is quick, easy, fun to make and wear. This is also a wonderful gift.
Raffmama –
I made this as a gift. The fit was spot on and she loved it.
Lizel Schwartz –
I made the most beautiful summers night grown from this one and also use this pattern to make slips for under see through dressed. Really great fit and super easy to make!
Brenda –
I’ve made many of these as nighties and also top length – they are great for layering under my canyon or boyfriend cardigans! Such a great pattern and the instructions are fantastic!
Jaye Holland –
I just love this nighty! It’s fun to make and I need to eventually make the bottoms too. So many possibilities with this!
Leslie Clanin –
The fit of the nighty is perfect and the pattern is easy to follow! I love it!
Alicia Gutierrez –
I have made this so many times, for myself and my family. My favorite is the night dress, perfect thing to lounge in
Karen –
I LOVE this pattern!!! The cami and shelf bra is perfect for me! I’ve made dozens, both with and without the cami. The directions are super easy, and if you have a minute, take the time to watch the Luna Sew-a-Long. so many helpful tips and tricks!
Heather Hahn –
Sooo comfy! The shorts are so cute and practical. Made the 2x and they fit just perfect without adjustments.
Kristen Will –
The perfect sleep shorts! One thing I love about LoveNotions patterns is the clear instructions about how to adjust sizing. I am 3” taller than the “drafted height” (which not every pattern maker provides), so I knew right away where to add length. I made four pairs and slept in them all summer long.
Anne Andaloft –
I made the shorts and cami with shelf bra. They went together quickly and easily. The fit was great with no alterations. So comfy on warm summer nights. I did the shorts with a knot, though a woven should work as well. I have some tricot that I hope to use for a slip with the sheath version. Great pattern, very versatile.
Andrea Cosens –
Have only made the shorts out of a knit so far, but planning on making an additional pair and the lengthening them to make pants as well.
Kathryn Louisignau –
Love this pattern for the ease and extended size for larger bust!
Vicki Mullis –
So far I’ve made the top and shorts, and absolutely love the fit! I have a swim top planned with the built in bra, can’t wait to get time to make it. Easy pattern, so should be perfect for summer!!
karynkemp37 –
I have made this pattern several times. It fits well and was easy to make.
Tanja –
Very nice pattern. I made the nigthy/sundress, one with and one without shelf bra. I am a D Cup and the full bust pieces fit just fine. Instructions are easy to understand and i had no problem sewing this up in under an hour. maybe i will make some pj pants too, but mostly i wear nightshirts.
Chris –
This is a basic staple for me. I use it for cami’s and as a slip. I like to use FOE when I’m in a hurry!
Pat Semeraro –
I love the way the Luna capris fit! I have made them to sleep in but they wouold actually be great to wear out and about! By far my most favorite pj pants! And they have great pockets too!!!
laurak4035 –
This pattern is so versatile and great for more than just PJ’s. The top with shelf bra is wonderful as a base layer and I especially love it as a base under a sheer blouse. The pants work for lounge wear or dressier pants depending on fabric selection,
Vicki Mullis –
OMG! Talk about a versatile pattern! I have used this a dozen times, and only once for PJ’s! The shorts are perfect for everyday shorts (actually my favorites!) and the top I have with the built in bra for tanks and swimwear!! Probably one of my very favorite LN patterns!!
mlgatward –
Ladies Lund Loungewear has so many options. I’ve paired the bottoms with the Cadence top to make great summer pajamas. I’m currently making the Luna Cami with the built in bra shelf and I am so thankful for the video sew-along that take me step by step through the sewing process.
Dale Luxford –
I am a big fan of the Luna pattern: it is versatile, fits great, and the instructions are excellent! I have made several of the nightgowns in bamboo jersey and bamboo French terry and they are very comfortable. I’ve also made the cami and shorts for my daughter and they were a hit. Thanks for a fabulous pattern!
shelley Kearney –
These are my go to summer loungewear. I made the shorts from a cotton and the cami from a jersey. They are so comfortable and easy to wear. They came together very quickly with excellent instructions and drafting.
Lenore Baker –
I have made the shorts many times. I made the Breckenridge short sleeve top to go with it. I have also made the shorts in minky cuddle for my granddaughter. She loves them too!
DaVerne Wood –
The bonus of all LN patterns is that each one has so many options. You don’t just get a nightgown with this pattern – choices of capris or shorts, lengthen or shorten the nightgown, a shelf bra option, and…wait for it…pockets!! Yes! Plus it is for knits and wovens. Doesn’t get much better than this. I have made the cami with a shelf bra and capris in a cotton waffle knit and am so happy with them. I am looking forward to making more Luna Loungewear options.
LN once again has provided very good instructions as well as a video for those of us who learn by this medium. And I would like to take this opportunity to say how much I appreciate that LN includes a projector file as a digital option for their patterns.
Karen Baily –
Very cute loungewear set. I made the full bust front. While the basic set fit well, the shelf bra only came down to my apex and I had to remove it. I’ll try again but will need to adjust the pattern to fit better!
Balex –
I’ve only made the shorts view but I’ll definitely make these again. I added a yoga waistband because I find that more comfortable. The fabric I used is a rayon knit and these are so incredibly soft and comfortable. I lowered the crotch 2” but I wouldn’t do that again – the fabric I used really stretches so it was unnecessary. Either way, these are a great pj bottom pattern! Loose and comfy. Also great if you’re looking for shorts to wear beneath skirts.
Love Notions team: would it work to use the Resolution Bottoms yoga waistband on these? I’d love to hear your thoughts/suggestions!
Sally Holmes –
Depending on the fabrics used this set is much more than loungewear.
Caroline Calhoun –
I made the knee length nighty version and it was perfect. The binding instructions were easy to follow.
mel-2471 –
Recently made the cropped pj bottoms in a lovely light soft cotton, popped a yoga waistband on for comfort. Perfection in a pattern, very happy. Thankyou to all at Love Notions.
