All Love Notions Sewing Patterns are digital downloads, you may print them at home or send to a copy shop. A physical pattern will not be mailed to you.

The Presto Tunic is a woven top meant for apparel fabrics. The tunic has a loose fit with gentle shaping with darts at the bust and back to give a flattering silhouette. A banded collar gives the tunic a polished look. Or, opt for the easy bias bound neckline to save some time. The inset panel gives you an opportunity to mix fabrics or even add a special detail like pin tucks. Use buttons or snaps or even leave them off entirely to pair with a cami. Side vents are also included to give you more breathing room. This tunic is an intermediate sew but is so satisfying when completed. No one will believe you when you say, ‘I made it!’

This pattern was updated 9/12/23 to include sizes 4X & 5X.

I absolutely love this pattern! Everything matches up beautifully. I did find it to be much looser than I expected for the stated measurements, but otherwise it is fabulous.

  2. tinkershop (verified owner)

I love this pattern. I have made 6 sleeveless versions so far.

This project had a lot of firsts for me! It wasn’t an easy sew, BUT it was a great project for learning new skills. I’m really proud of my finished top!

  4. brooke

    Another excellent pattern by LN!

I printed the Presto out before realizing it is a XXXL at its largest. I usually do a 2 or 3x with full bust. Disappointed and feeling a bit lazy to enlarge it to fit. boo hoo. I was looking forward to sewing it.

Hi Lannie! We’re so happy to let you know that we’ve updated Presto Tunic to add sizing AND a full bust adjustment option done for you. Hope that you are able to revisit this one and enjoy the experience! ๐Ÿ™‚

Awesome pattern–I only had to shorten the dart. Instructions make it easy to sew up a stunner, and I love that the option for pin tucks is included. I mashed this with Cadence to get a knee-length dress.

  8. Joanne Creech (verified owner)

I have made 3 of these since the pattern was updated! It is such a great pattern and can be used all seasons! It fits great and is very flattering! Pairs great with the Sabrina Slims!

  9. michellekwallace (verified owner)

I made this tunic in a cotton poplin and to be honest I wasnโ€™t sure if I was going to like this style on me but once I got it made up I have enjoyed wearing it. I think the secret to the excellent fit is the back darts as they give it a flattering shape, I always get compliments when I wear it. Itโ€™s perfect for trans-seasonal weather over jeans.

Wonderful pattern! I am a special education teacher and with leggings itโ€™s perfect for work.

I love my Presto tunic, while the inset was a little fiddly, I found the video from Love Notions to be very helpful. I made 2 of these, one out of rayon and the other out of crepe. This isnโ€™t the easiest to make but itโ€™s one of my favorites to wear.

Fun sew and a great result. I used Cadence to make a dress, using the bodice of Presto and that great banded collar. I love wearing my simple shirt dress!

Lovely tunic top. Great to sew up and as usual with love notions there are several options included so no need to buy an expansion or hack pack. The instructions are very comprehensive. Great value at normal prices, exceptional value when on feature Friday sale.
