I made my muslin with a peach skin fabric. The instructions are great, and I love that the pattern pieces are trim-less. Binding the opening in the neckline was tricky because the fabric frayed and it was tricky not distorting the shape of the cut out. Next time I’ll omit the cut out in the neckline.

At last I have found a pattern in woven fabric that fits me over the shoulder without tightening.
I’m getting pain when clothes is tightening after removing a piece of my clavicle. It´s a great pattern, perfect in size.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS PATTERN

I made two Rhapsody in the sew-a-long. One in rayon and one in a cotton lawn. Both turned out great. The instructions in the pattern are clear and easy to follow. I liked the links to the videos in there as well! I’ve just bought fabric for three more!!

I love this pattern! I’ve made it twice now…once in a rayon and once in a very lightweight cotton blend. Both are in high rotation in my summer wardrobe. This is a garment that captures the current “Boho” trend, without being too loose. I love the creative possibilities of this pattern and am looking forward to making it for fall. The pattern is carefully written. Sizing was spot on for me. Just carefully measured my body then print and cut the size(s) that I needed. I have wide, square shoulders to I needed to go up a size for the bodice, then grade back down for the body. Worked beautifully. Thank you Tami!

My first and definitely not my last woven pattern! It was a perfect fit, always is!
Trista –
The perfect woven top. Very flattering and pretty on.

I’ve made several Rhapsody’s now and love them all. Its a great pattern. easy to read and easy to follow. The sew-a-long on the blog is great too.
Anne (verified owner) –
I love this pattern! It’s easy to sew and looks great on. I’ve made two so far!

I have made four versions of this pattern three of the shirt style in different fabrics ( including a sheer chiffon) and one with the dress add on, and they have all turned out perfectly. Very easy to assemble and sew and a great pattern for learning and practicing the burrito method. Very clear instructions and great links to extra information. This pattern is open to creating so many different options you could have dozens of these and they would all look different. I own and sew up a lot of Love Notions patterns, and this would have to be my favourite by far.

Easy to sew and great fit the first time. I will definitely make more. My husband commented that it fits great. He said this pattern is a winner.
cabral_shana (verified owner) –
I love this pattern. It looks like it could be tricky to make, but the instructions made it so easy. It’s a very flattering style for so many body types and I love all the sleeve options.

I’m so excited to try this top ( and dress!). From experience I know the instructions will be easy to follow as Love Notions is amazing in this department! The finished products I’ve seen are all lovely.
Kelli (verified owner) –
This pattern was easy to sew up and has the cutest little details. Im excited to try the dress option soon.

I have not made this yet, but I am so inspired by everyone makes! I have this the pattern, and the material for both the muslin and some killer cheers print!

The Rhapsody is my favorite pattern, It can be ANYTHING. Want a short sleeve shirt to wear to the park this summer? Looking to re-live your hippie days of the 60’s and 70’s? (OK, showing my age.) Determined to look great when you’re able to go back to work instead of surviving endless Zoom meetings? Jus trying to hide those COVID pounds you put on in the last year? It’s anything you want it to be. I was surprised to see that I have purchased 51 Love Notions patterns thus far. Then again I’m not surprised at all. Can’t wait for the next one!

I love this pattern – so many options! Great fit and great style!!!!!

I’m in love with the Rhapsody Top!! I haven’t sewn wovens in forever and was a bit worried about the French seams and bias tape, but the pattern instructions were so clear and easy to follow and the results are absolutely stunning!! I just finished my first this afternoon for my mom for Mother’s Day and have already purchased several more pieces of fabric to try other sleeve variations, as well as the “closed” v hack that I saw. I can see this top working for all seasons spring through winter. Great all around wardrobe staple!
Patricia Wilson (verified owner) –
I have not made this yet, but I have the fabric and I can’t wait to get started. It is such a pretty design. After reading the instructions, it looks like it will be easy to put together too.

Wow.
I took the plunge and I’m so pleased I did. I’ve made 2 Rhapsody blouses with short sleeves and ties. At the moment I’ve another blouse almost finished and I’ve learned so much in particular, make with lightweight fabric or cotton so drape is good. I can certainly see that more Rhapsody versions are going to be on my cutting table …. you can never have too many. Beautiful

I really LOVE this pattern. I thought it was going to be difficult at first but i just dove right in and made two of them the first day I got it (one with short sleeves and one sleeveless). Will be making more as soon as I get more fabric.

Just purchased this yesterday and have it planned for some rayon batik fabric I have. Hopefully will get it started this week.

Love this pattern! My muslin is wearable and very cute. From there I have made three more. Great instructions and videos if you need more help. Highly recommend!
Terrie (verified owner) –
The first woven pattern I’ve tried since getting back into garment sewing recently. I was terrified to try it because it has so many neat details, but the instructions are easy to follow. I’ve made two now (one for me and one for our daughter) and love both of them. I have fabric to make two more!
Elona Earley (verified owner) –
This has got to be my favorite LN pattern! I’ve made the flutter sleeve, the bishop sleeve, and a dress last summer with the update. I get so many compliments when I wear these blouses and they’re fabulous to sew up. I really like the bias faced neckline instead of facings. This is the first pattern I have successfully used French seams and it’s such a lovely detail. The video is very helpful for the burrito method as well!
Sheri Huerd (verified owner) –
Yes! This is my first Love Notions pattern. I made this top with the 3/4 bishop sleeve. It fits well through the shoulders, and I might do a full bust adjustment next time. I’m cutting out the flutter sleeve version this week for summer.
thats_my_horse (verified owner) –
This top/dress is so pretty! I love how many options come with this one pattern, and the alterations I made to fit me where minimal, which is amazing.
Nicole Gille (verified owner) –
I have made two of these, one short sleeved and one tank version. It is a really cute top. I have found with all Love Notions patterns the instructions have a way of making something that seems complicated easy to do. What I really love about Love Notions is the links to video instructions at all the tricky spots. I have learned so many new skills sewing Love Notions patterns and have never struggled or gotten frustrated.

I was on the hunt for a good woven pattern and I think I’ve found it! I love the little details with the pleats and the options. Great for a dressy shirt or dress or for a casual breezy summer outfit!

On of my top favorite clothing items to sew!! There are so many options and it’s flattering on every shape!
Sharon Duddleston (verified owner) –
Love the flattering look of this garment I am currently making my muslin version to ensure a good fit and trying the technique for the neckline before I cut into my lovely fabric. Can’t wait to get it done So many lovely patterns here at LN and so little time!

I absolutely love this top. I am now making number four and I only started making them this week. Had I read that it was an intermediate pattern I may not have attempted it, as I’ve not sewn clothes for some time. As it is, I had absolutely no issues with the pattern or the sewing, other than those from sewing a cheap and nasty rayon from my stash. I hadn’t used the burrito method previously, but the instructions are excellent. I got a good fit with a little grading but needed no further tweaking and the length is just perfect. I have made both the short and flutter sleeve options so far, both are lovely. I shall do an elasticated bishop sleeve on the one under the needle right now. It’s such a comfortable top to wear as well. The next one will be the dress option.
Dorene Kemp (verified owner) –
I love, love, love this pattern and I love wearing this top. So many options make it possible to have many of the same top with many different looks. Thank you for such a versatile pattern!

I have made two of these! I love this pattern.

Couldn’t find the perfect dress for my daughter’s wedding so I turned to this pattern. It was perfect! I loved the fit and the design that made it so comfortable and cool and flattering. Hacked the neckline for a closed look – so happy with the results.
ELiza (verified owner) –
Love this pattern! Versatile, full bust options (YES!), sews up quickly, and has tons of lovely details like sleeve options, dress options, and tie. The neck can get fiddly but the instructions are great!
Hayley Lown (verified owner) –
I made one for a friends bridal shower and it’s stunning!

This is one of my favorite patterns! I have made three tops and plan on making more. This fit it perfect.
Aine Henderson (verified owner) –
As everyone says, this is a perfect pattern. Easy to make, fits perfectly. I have made the top and a dress (needed to lengthen the bodice on the dress). I can see more being made .
Staci (verified owner) –
Love, love this pattern! This was my first pattern to make and use binding. The instructions were great for this! Love how effortless and beautiful this top is. The dress is one of my favorites! It is super flattering with the elastic waist!
schroeder1987 (verified owner) –
This is a wonderful woven top. Made in a rayon challis, chambray and wool twill. Drafted a facing to eliminate the bias binding on the wool as it was loosely woven. My favorite top. The video was very helpful. The cut is flattering. A pattern that can be used time and time again.

Fantastic Pattern!… I made it it in an animal print Rayon Poplin… you can check out a photo on IG @Gigis.Sewing.Adventures. I am a short-waisted 5’4″ so I shortened the bodice by 1.5 inches. I am more of a straight silhouette so I cut a L at the shoulders and waist and graded in to a M at the hips. I have worn this top with a skirt, with linen pants, jeans and I am looking to wear with with some shorts when the weather gets hotter. you cannot go wrong with this pattern it is so versatile.

I’m pretty new to garment sewing with this being the first I have sewn in over 30 years. The first time I made the top was in the class. The second time I was on my own and all the info provided in the directions helped me at each and every spot. Cannot wait to make some more of the patterns I have purchased

A very easy pattern and instructions

Until I started using Love Notions I had only attempted woven patterns and never with much success…so I was kind of avoiding them…until the Rhapsody. It wasn’t difficult, and my first attempt actually tuned out pretty great. Next time I will be sure to use a fabric with a little better drape (as the pattern recommends) because the plain cotton is a bit stiff, but the fit is great!

I had held off making this pattern, but finally decided to tackle it. The instructions were very clear. The instructions were full of video links and tutorial links. Learned a very unique way of making bias binding from a very small piece of fabric through a link in the pattern.
