The Tinley is a shorts, skirt and skort pattern in one! Choose from four different body views: straight shorts, full shorts, straight skirt & full skirt. Add the optional biker undershorts to either skirt option to get a skort!
This pattern comes in sizes XS-5X. The Tinley can be made in either knit or woven fabrics!

Pattern Formats Included:
- Print at home for US letter & A4 paper, trimless format with layers
- Large format file LAYERED for copy shop printing. This file will print on six A0 (33″ x 46″) size sheets. Be sure to instruct your printer to print actual size in black and white on their cheapest paper. We recommend PDFPlotting for printing the large format files.
- A projector file is also included for those using projector technology

I purchased the Tinley pattern in August 2023, and made up the full shorts using some silk from my stash. The pattern pieces matched perfectly, the instructions were very clear, and it sewed up quickly. I love how swishy the full shorts are, especially in that light silk, and the pockets have plenty of room for my phone and keys. The half-elastic waistband is very comfortable and looks good when my shirt is tucked in or left out. The length is just right, too. I’m planning to make the skort next.

I purchased the Tinley pattern as soon as it hit the shop and there were no regrets! I was nervous about a woven pattern however I found it an easy sew and easy fit! I made another pair right after taking the first off the sewing machine! I made the Straight Shorts version in both! Great pattern!!! Goes great with the Ladies Margot Peplum pairs great with these!!!

Daughter saw the pattern and wanted the skort. I made a toile for fitting to get the size.
She wanted longer lycra shorts, so had to adjust the length of the skirt just a little, to accommodate it. She chose the purple material with black shorts and absolutely loves it. A great fit from the pattern with only the above alterations.

Loved making these shorts. I didn’t have to make any changes. I’ve made them twice. The second pair I got lazy and just added 2” elastic in the back. I love the waist band with the flat front/elastic back. I’m pretty new to sewing shorts/pants, but they were pretty easy. Thank you for such a great pattern.

I purchased this pattern to make shorts last summer – well time got away with me and I found that I needed a new pair of shorts to wear on my mission trip to the Dominican Republic in Dec 2023 – well I had fabric and just cut out the pattern according to my measurements and said I do not have time to adjust anything. They came our awesome! did not need to make any adjustments – I will make a full belly adj with the next pari due to the fact that the pockets did not lay as flat as I wanted – but with a little longer shirt no one knew the difference. What a great pattern, Thanks sooooo very much
