I just made my 4th Willow Wrap Dress and I’m sure there will follow more. It is such an easy pattern and so flattering and comfortable to wear. I haven’t regret buying this pattern for one second. I’m comfortable enough now with making this dress i even offered my friend to make her one as well as she has a difficult size to shop in stores.

The Willow Wrap Dress is my favorite Love Notions pattern (so far)! It is so flattering, and the instructions are easy to follow. I love all the options that come with it: the flutter sleeves and flounce add a feminine touch and are super simple to sew.

I made this one in a top format for the office, and it was a definite winner! Got lots of compliments! It was easy to sew, and I enjoyed that this was a slightly different pattern from my others . It hides my slightly broader hips a bit and accentuate my middle making it look thinner that it actually is 🙂

I have only made this pattern once and love wearing it. I did have a little fitting problem in that the bodice front left side that goes under the right side pulled where it was fastened to the side seam. I released the side seam stitching and it stopped the pulling. I will add some to this pattern piece when I use it again.

The Willow Wrap dress has a neckline that can be made higher so I love that I can get that pretty crossover look, but it’s still modest and stays in place. I think this is a pattern that looks great on everyone!

I’ve made 2 of these now. What a flattering dress! A very easy sew also. I’ve made a sleeveless version and a lined back version. So many options, my fave is the gathered bodice. The skirt portion has just enough volume without overpowering my 5’2″ frame. I shortened the skirt piece about 1 inch which gives me the perfect length.

I love this dress pattern! I use the full bust piece to get a perfect fit. I’ve made 2 so far, one sleeveless and one with 3/4 sleeves. Went together very easily, I used a cotton lycra for both and they have nice drape with this pattern. I haven’t tried the flounce hack yet but it’s on my list!

I made mine in navy crushed velvet stretch, the shirt hung so beautifully and the dress was a perfect fit.

Amazing dress, great pattern. Really flattering and easy to make.I’ve done 2 in Liverpool solids. So many compliments. If you’re thinking of maybe getting this pattern, just do it, I totally recommend it. I can’t wait to make it in other fabrics and prints. That I got it on the Feature Friday and a code from Karina’s (Lifting Pins and Needles) for extra discount is just madness. Every time I wear the dress or even think about making another one I have a big smile on my face.

I made 3 versions of this for my daughter when the family went to London for a sightseeing trip. Black stretch velvet for a visit to the American Bar at the Savoy: vivid purple more drapes velvet to the theatre to see Hamilton and a gorgeous abstract print of the NY skyline for afternoon tea. Brilliant flattering easy pattern

I have collected various wrap over dress patterns for my daughter who is in her early forties with a very curvy figure! It’s difficult now I have made this 4 times for her, to wean myself off this pattern. She has two in velvet: one black, one a deep vibrant purple: one in a palm tree pattern and one in some fabric which has abstract New York skyline images on it. According to the use, it’s easy to lower the neckline or raise it up. It’s been worn for afternoon tea at the Savoy Hotel in London: to see the musical Hamilton from the best seats in the theatre: and is equally at home either way. Cannot recommend it highly enough: lots of compliments for the seamstress when really, it’s an easy sew.

I love this pattern! I like that it includes two necklines depth, so I was able to choose a more conservative one for the dress I made for my sister’s wedding. The instructions are very thorough, but if you are a visual learner like me, I recommend watching the Lifting pins and needles. Finally, I love Love Notions Facebook group because everybody is very helpful and encouraging.

The Willow Wrap dress is a fabulous pattern —- sew easy!! I am 5’3″ and must have a long waistline because I lowered it by an inch — very easy with the lengthen shorten lines. I also added a HRB to the back bodice. What is amazing is that other than those two alterations, this pattern was zip and go. There are two neckline wraps, one above, and one under the bustline. I made the lower one, and found it fit like a glove, no gapping!! I also added the ruffled flounce, and flutter sleeves. The fit is awesome, and the dress is gorgeous on. This will not be my last Willow Wrap!! LOVE IT!!

Such a flattering pattern, and an easy make! I love the way peplums look on pretty much everyone, and this didn’t disappoint even on my less-than-perfect size (cough cough). It was the 2nd or 3rd Love Notions pattern I made after the Laundry Day Tee, once I got my sewing legs back under me after a very long “break” from garment sewing. (30ish years!)
