I want to say thank you, thank you, thank you to the Love Notions team! I started sewing about 6mo. ago because we could not find professional clothing for my daughter that didn’t look like a tent. She is a very curvy hour glass. Everything I have made has been knit tshirts and sweaters until this! Yes I knew this was going to be way advanced for me BUT I wanted to try. I decided to make the sleeveless dress version of the Aria. This course really is laid out step by step! Yes I made a lot of mistakes but not because of the course. I was also learning how to use a sewing machine at the same time. It took me 3 days to get from cutting to a finished garment and it is very wearable. The second one I made took a day and a half. It came out so nice my daughter actually wore it to work with a blazer for a meeting and got tons of compliments from her friends! My advice to anyone considering this course is get it! Take your time learning each step. Practice every step you don’t know on scrap first. You can do this!

I’m blown away at the detail that this course provides. If you’re a visual learner, like myself, this course will hold your hand all the way through your finished garment. I love that I can always come back to remind me of a technique that was shown here. So, this is not only helping me with the Aria shirt, but with other garments that have similar techniques. That’s a win! Here’s what I learned for the first time: burrito method (so easy), side vents (I kept saying, “what?”), button placket and how to install the buttons (I have a Babylock so it was great to see it in action), banded and standard collar (this is really not that bad), and casing for a dress. So, all in all, it is great value. Thank you so much for such an excellent class.

I highly recommend this pattern and course !!!! As a beginner sewer, a hobby taken during the pandemia, I did not feel confident to try to sew a shirt on my own… until… this course was made available! It’s like having an instructor next to me directing me on every single step!!! When my first shirt was finished I could not believe how professional it looks, the collar and sleeve plackets, the most intimidating, looked so good! I even learned how to make perfect buttonholes with this course.
