I made the sleeveless dress version of this pattern, the instructions are clear and easy to understand. The pattern went together very well, I am very happy with this pattern

I made the Lyric dress version in a woven stretch cotton sateen from Mood. It turned out very nicely. I raised the neckline by 1 inch, and am not certain that I needed to do that. The full bust option was so convenient, I did lower the darts, added 3/4 inch to the upper back, and adjusted the back darts to accommodate my waist. Then I made a shirt with the short bishop sleeves, that turned out flattering, also. I may make another using Karina’s no button hack. This is such a good pattern.

Instructions were clear. Fit wasn’t quite as accurate with this lyric dress than other Love Notions patterns I’ve used but still an adorable dress. And, that’s what muslins are for!! I’ll definitely be making another lyric dress… or top…. can’t decide!

I am obsessed with this dress!!! I love that you can create a different look with different fabrics.

This is a great fitting pattern. I barely had to do any full bust alterations which is very exciting. I did the sleeveless version and I like how the armhole and neckline is finished with the bias binding. Directions are well written

I love how many sleeve options are included with this dress. Once you get your fit down, you can really make so many different looks. I’ve even borrowed a sleeve to swap onto another pattern. Such a great value.

Because I can never have enough dresses and I just love this shirt dress style. Wonderful pattern

I was looking for the perfect dress that had buttons down the front that was made for wovens. This is it!! It is so super flattering! This is my absolute favorite dress! Love that it comes with full bust pieces and easy to follow instructions!

This is only my second Love Notions patterns and there will be more! I usually avoid pdf patterns because I hate putting them together. Needing no trimming it was so much easier to put together. I was looking for a pattern to knock off a $1,400 Jil Sanders linen top. This worked out to be a perfect choice. I made it in black linen with matching pants. It’s a well drafted pattern that made it easy to hack into what I wanted to make. I will be making this again, as drafted perhaps and definitely with alterations.

I did the sleeveless version of this dress, I usually do the shirts first but this one just needed to be a dress and it turned out fabulous.. all the fretting for nothing.

Please be aware that although printing this pattern at home will take some time and some paper, it will certainly avoid the unbelievably high cost to print it at a shop. I got mine printed on copier paper weight paper today at CopyQuik in Hagerstown, Maryland, using the large format file and for the four sheets it cost $132.11. I could not believe the cost. Take my advice and print on your home printer. While you are taping all those sheets together you can be smiling that you didn’t make the same costly mistake I did!! Love the pattern! Thank you.

That is insane! It should not cost more than $2-4 per sheet. NExt time try http://www.pdfplotting.com.

This was my first Love Notions pattern. I made the midi length skirt with flared skirt and elbow length bishop sleeves. I made a practice garment first, which I normally don’t do, but as it was my first pattern from this company, I wanted to be sure of fit before cutting into the “good” fabric. I’m not a fan of bias binding around the neck edge, so changed that to a front and back facing, but that’s easy enough to do, and just personal preference. I was in between sizes, and for the practice garment I sized down. That was a mistake. I got a better fit for the final garment when I sized up. I also found the “mdi” length a bit misleading. I’m not a tall person, and the midi length on me was just below the knee. For me, midi length means mid calf, and I did lengthen the skirt for the final garment. The pockets seemed a bit small and you want might to enlarge those. The other thing I would like (and maybe its there but I just couldn’t find it) is an “express instructions” for those who just want a brief overview of the order of steps. I didn’t look at the instructions at all because they were just too long. Probably great for those who are newer to sewing but it just seemed like way too much to wade through for me. The drafting was first rate. Everything fit together the way it was supposed, and the final fit was great. I really like the cut of the flared skirt. It makes a fun, slightly flirty skirt. I will definitely be making more!

I made the lyric dress with bishop sleeves using some fun printed flannel that was on sale after Christmas. I plan to make it out of fine wale corduroy, but used the flannel as my muslin. It came together so easily, and I love the fit. I won’t need to make any alterations, and the flannel will be a fun party dress in the Christmas season. I will be excited to make many more of this pattern!

After procrastinating to make this peplum, I found that the adjustments to dart placements wasn’t so overwhelming! I have few tweaks to make for a finished peplum then I want to make a dress with some ruffles on the bottom.

It took me a while to make this dress but once done, I couldn’t be happier! It’s such a lovely dress. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Adjusting the darts, however was challenging for me. I’m glad that I made a muslin so that next time I can just follow it.

I love the buttons all the way down look! So versatile with different fabrics!

I made the Lyric Dress in a lovely sheer navy with red birds. Such a lovely dress!! The fit was great and all I did was to do a HRB and lower the waist an inch. I also put on a flutter sleeve — very pretty. Great dress and I will make it again.

I have made this pattern 3 times and love them all so much. The directions were clear and easy to follow. All the LN patterns that I have tried fit me very well. This is the first pattern company that I can actually wear what I make.

I’m delighted with my Lyric dress. I had been hesitant to make it as I generally have to make a significant FBA on woven fabric patterns, So first I made a muslin by selecting my size based on high bust measurement, I then graded out to a larger size and the D cup option, dropping the side darts 1 1/2 inches. The fitting instructions were helpful with this. I was very happy with the fit with minimal work compared to having to make a large FBA. I then made my intended dress, hacking the pattern to a shorter skirt, but replacing the length with a ruffle. I will definitely be making more Lyric dresses.
