LDT + Resolution Bottoms: Day to Night Outfit

by | Jun 28, 2019

Outfits that can go from day to night are an essential component of any wardrobe, wouldn’t you agree? The ability to dress up or dress down pieces in your wardrobe can help out your wallet, your schedule, your closet space, and maybe even your headspace! Welcome to another $5 Feature Friday here on the Love Notions blog. Today, Livia will be giving some serious style inspo with her Day to Night looks for the Laundry Day Tee and the Resolution Bottoms. Grab your LDT for free when you join the Love Notions pattern support group and snag the Resolution Bottoms for just $5 today only — that is an incredible deal for these pants that are normally $12 (and worth every penny!).

Hi,

Livia from Liviality here for another Feature Friday.

This time I’d like to share with you how I make the most out of my wardrobe staples, going from Day to Night with a couple of simple changes.

Tee-shirt, pants, and sneakers… I live in those. All day, every day.
Nothing could be more comfortable!

If you see me around running errands, simply going through life, chances are you’ll see me in some variation of this outfit. It’s comfortable, it’s practical and, with the right patterns, it’s very cute too! 😉

The Resolution Bottoms and Laundry Day Tee are such great staples. Both top and bottom come with a ton of options/variations, enough to fill up your wardrobe with different pieces.

The LDT is very well known and very loved.

It comes with three neckline options: scoop, v-neck, and cowl, as well as five sleeve lengths: tank, short, elbow, 3/4 and long.

You also get to choose from tee shirt length,  tunic length & dress. The tunic and dress lengths have a high/low hem option.

I made a couple of mods to this one: shortened the sleeves to make it cap length and made it a high/low tee shirt. I love how it turned out!

It’s such a great pattern…and FREE on top of that, whaaaat?

Now let’s talk about the Resolution Bottoms and how I believe that everyone should have this pattern in their sewing arsenal. 😉

Talk about versatile!

You’re a joggers person? Check!
Would rather wear yoga pants? Check!
Live in leggings? Check!

Straight leg, boot cut, moto detail… this bottoms pants really has it all. Amazing!

Not to mention the bum-flattering back yoke! 😉

For this post, I chose to use the legging with moto detail, as it’s my favorite version of the pattern. I’ve used a very stretchy woven for this one and it’s one of my absolute favorite pants ever.

With sneakers and my trusty backpack I’m ready to conquer whatever comes my way during the day.

I’ve truly lost count of how many times I’ve worn this outfit. Some people might think it’s my uniform, that’s how many. 😛

The great thing about it is that, due to the basic nature of it, it can be dressed up or down, depending on where I’m going.

Paired with a jacket, a statement necklace, and some heels, I’m ready to go out to dinner or out on the town.

This is also super handy when traveling.
A few basic pieces plus some strategic accessories and you’ve cut down your luggage in half!

We’re going on vacation in a few weeks and I’m already planning a capsule to bring as we’re driving and there’s only so much that will fit in the car.

But that’s a story for another post. 😉
