I love this skirt pattern! I have sewn the knee length and the midi. The pockets are the best part! They are deep and are perfectly placed. I have only sewn the contour waistband and I love it. The pattern was easy to follow and the instructions were clear.

Great Pattern. I made mine without the pockets and my sister saw it and I had to make one for her. It will travel with me overseas to her in December as a Xmas present. I find love notions patterns make awesome gifts as patterns but also as final garments. Love wearing this it feels so nice on!

  8. Brenda (verified owner)

This skirt pattern is my favorite and it’s mostly the pockets! I love the functional yet attractive pockets and the contour waistband makes this fit fantastic. I love it!

  9. Jaye Holland (verified owner)

This yoga waistband is my favorite…and POCKETS!! 🙂

  10. barbara Lies (verified owner)

I made this skirt last month after purchasing the pattern last year. Every piece came together perfectly. I wish I had made the waistband a bit smaller, but it fits good and I have worn it to work and gotten compliments on it. I used a French Terry which actually didn’t meet the stretch requirement, but worked beautifully!

I made a video on my YouTube channel on this skirt. Just do a YouTube search for Cursing Seamstress.

I love the Rivinia skirt, my favourite part of course are the pockets! They’re so pretty with the gathering detail. Super easy to put together and fast!

Such a pretty skirt! I made a midi for my granddaughter for church. She says it’s so comfy! She wants 10 more just like it! But I want to make me one first! Lol

  16. CJ (verified owner)

I made the maxi length version for my daughter. Great directions, loved the pockets (so did she!) and have another maxi planned as well as two calf length (they will be perfect with boots!). Thanks for a great pattern.

  17. Colleen (verified owner)

This is my favorite skirt pattern! As with all LN patterns, the instructions are clear and very precise. The front pocket detail really makes this skirt special – you can do a lot of things with one pattern!

  18. Colleen (verified owner)

Love the fit of this skirt! Very easy sew!

The Ravinia has become a favorite even though I wasn’t big on wearing skirts. It’s so comfortable and looks harder to make than it is. I plan to make a maxi Ravinia out of some type of burgundy velvet for Christmas. Bonus, the pockets not only work but look great.

  20. zolkower (verified owner)

Has anyone made this without pockets and gathers? I’m looking for a very simple silhouette. TIA!

Hi there! I have seen one person in our Facebook group modify the Ravinia to have side seam pockets instead. You can join our Facebook group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/lovenotionspatternsupport

Alternatively, you may like to try our Sybil Skirt Collection that includes 7 different skirt styles. Pockets are optional and you can choose between knee length or midi. ~K

I really love the ravinia skirt! I’ve made 2 maxi lengths so far and I feel so pretty in them. I appreciate the drape and less form fit it offers. The knit waistband was perfect for my postpartum tummy when I needed some skirts to wear. Will have to make more now that I’ve lost the baby weight!

This is the first skirt I have made that fit me without adjustments! The pattern was very easy to follow for an experienced sewer. I see my wardrobe expanding with many more skirts.

Great multi season skirt. Made without issues and the directions are clear

  24. Beth St Laurent (verified owner)

Great easy sew with some awesome pockets! This was my daughter’s first ever me made skirt. While I might not recommend this as a first me made pattern, due to the pockets with binding needs, it is a wonderful pattern for an early sewist! Highly recommmended!!!!

  25. claire Piper (verified owner)

Awesome skirt pattern, so flattering and a really easy sew. Love the unusual pockets (I MUST have pockets in everything!) This is such a comfortable skirt, I made the midi length, which is my go-to. Love it!

  26. Deanne Dexter (verified owner)

I used a small floral print dbp…lots of opportunities to wear with different tees or tanks. Nice pocket design detail.

  27. Sherry Fuerst (verified owner)

This simple fabulous skirt is a staple in my wardrobe. Me Made Love Notion patterns are replacing all my RTW clothes because they are well designed, with well written instructions and well tested. Definitely practical clothes that fit my lifestyle!

  28. andie.letourneau (verified owner)

My favorite skirt pattern. I have made it 4 times in midi length so far. I love the pockets because they’re spacious and the pleating hides the pocket contents. The skirt has just the right amount of fullness and the yoga waistband is very comfortable. It goes together very quickly. The pattern is easy to follow and the instructions are clear.

  29. Miranda Haas (verified owner)

What a great skirt pattern! It is one of my favorites. So far I have sewn two maxi skirts. They are so comfortable and beautiful!

  30. Shirley Barney (verified owner)

This is such a classy skirt! I love that it can be easily dressed up or down! Definitely a wardrobe staple! I made it for the first time today, and it turned out so lovely! I will definitely be making more! Thank you for designing such beautiful patterns!
