  2. Trista

So quick and easy to put together. Tons of options.

  3. Frances Campbell (verified owner)

Big fan of this quick and easy pants pattern. Also makes great lounging/PJ pants! Another great pattern, thankyou!

  4. Ronna Plank (verified owner)

These sew up beautifully and make comfortable and easy to wear bottoms. I’ve made at least 5 pairs of shorts and several pairs of pants in linen and they are some of my favorite. The pattern is easy to follow and there are so many options!

  5. Linda Ross (verified owner)

I love the maxi skirt. It can be dressy or casual. You can wear it with any kind of shirt. Boyfriend Cardi or Metra jacket.

  9. Agustina Yusiningsi (verified owner)

The allegro pants pattern will be my repeat make. It is comfortable and easy to make for a beginner sewer like me. I can’t wait to try sewing other patterns from Love Notions I got during this recent sale.

  10. mrs.jweston (verified owner)

Pattern instructions are clear and I like the allegros on other people but I’m still up in the air on the pair I made. I’m not usually a fan of elastic waistbands.

  11. Brenda (verified owner)

I used this pattern to recreate a RTW pair of linen capris that I had seen and absolutely adored…this pattern exceed my expectations! I made a muslin and learned that I needed to add a bit to the crotch curve to accommodate my back crotch, but other than that, no adjustments needed! The instructions were easy to follow and I love the end result. I’m planning on making more for this summer (and I might try hacking a drawstring at the bottom for an even more casual look).

  12. Jaye Holland (verified owner)

These are a favorite! Love the style of the trendy joggers! So many other options too.

  13. Renee Shepherd (verified owner)

This pattern was my first Love Notions pattern. It did not disappoint. Easy to follow and good results.

  14. tracyandcarol (verified owner)

I’m not a fan of sewing pants for myself but these sewed up and fit like a dream! Made two pair out of chambray and couldn’t wait for spring to roll around again so I could wear them. Was afraid of the pockets but these were surprisingly easy. By far my favorite springtime pant to wear.

  15. ELiza (verified owner)

Ok, pants are hard!! But these were wonderful. A few simple alterations (full butt adjustment :-0, and they are a win!

  16. Staci (verified owner)

I bought this pattern to make the shorts version, and they have quickly become my favorite shorts! Very easy, quick sew with great results! Can’t wait to make the jogger version next!

  17. schroeder1987 (verified owner)

Fit on the pants is good. Sewed them up in linen and a rayon twill. Both are great. Having the option of a pant, skirt and shorts makes this pattern a value! Thanks Love Notions!

  18. Jamie McManus (verified owner)

Love this pattern. Soo many options to pick from.

  19. karilynpittman (verified owner)

Quick sew and fun to wear!

  20. Deneane Keane (verified owner)

I just finished the Allegro skirt and I love it! I did add extra length to accommodate my height and some cute wedges. Pattern came together perfectly and is a comfy fit that I’m already thinking about making again!

  21. Josephine (verified owner)

These are my go to casual summer shorts & soft trouser pattern. I’ve also used them to make pajama bottoms. Fantastic pattern–love everything about it.

  22. Cheryl (verified owner)

Such a nice pattern. Since we are in spring here in NZ, I made a pair of shorts. We have a long summer here, i’ll be wearing them until May. I’ve started on a second pair in linen and after this I intend to make at least 2 of the skirts by the end of the week. Great value as i’ll get a lot of use out of this pattern. They are easy and quick to sew. I love all their patterns, you can’t go wrong with Love Notions patterns.

  23. Taffyrn (verified owner)

This is my favorite shorts pattern, I plan to make pants and more with this pattern…. It’s a tnt for sure.

  24. jen_cooley (verified owner)

Made 3 different versions of these over the summer and wore the heck out of them. The cropped pants were a favorite. T and T for sure!

  25. Lrain (verified owner)

I will be using this pattern a lot, so far I have just made the skirt and love it. I am hoping the shorts and pants go as well as the skirt.

  26. Kathryn Louisignau (verified owner)

This was my go to for my summer wardrobe this year. I made two skirts and two bottoms. The skirts I made were the maxi in rayon challis. I made linen pants, both crop and longer. Absolutely love this pattern! Very easy.

  27. Julie Boylan (verified owner)

I found a really nice linen/rayon fabric that is asking to be made into Allegro bottoms. I am working with a muslin to get the fit just right. The pattern is well written and easy to follow.

  28. Brianne (verified owner)

Fit is great! Used this for a 4-H pattern, so easy for a beginner. Instructions were very easy to follow for her also. Love all the options!

  29. Susan Furth (verified owner)

Love this look! I’m making this pair with a dark wash 6.5 oz. denim and styling this with the LN Classic Tee and LN Boyfriend Cardigan (purchased this week of course!) .The Allegro pattern is so well written, it’s been a dream to work through- and there’s a ton of support/creative ideas on the Love Notions website as well as through the Ambassador community to make it so much more fun!

  30. Heide Fries (verified owner)

The Allegro pattern was the first time I tried making bottoms and they came out great. I have a short rise and it is so nice to have shorts that finally fit! I made 3 pair of shorts with Cotton Spandex jersey that I paired with the Summer Basics Tank for PJ’s and another pair of shorts in light-weight denim (added a fun cotton print for the waist band and pockets). LN patterns are always well drafted, have clear instructions and offer a lot of options!

  31. Mic Cas (verified owner)

Such a lovely pattern with lots of styles to choose from.

  32. mtngirlpaleo (verified owner)

The Allegro pattern is so easy to follow and the pants are very comfortable. I’ll be making more for fall and winter.

  33. lisakafka (verified owner)

I have made this pattern at least 15 times in the shorts, skirt and pants versions. I LOVE this pattern. So many options in one pattern. This is my all time favorite love notions pattern.

  34. FrenchieMom (verified owner)

The Allegro was my first pants/shorts pattern. It was easy to modify for being short yet high waisted after watching Karina Trinidad’s easy pants series on her channel Lifting Pins and Needles. I’ve only made 3 shorts and a capri so far but finally having something fit correctly has me itching to make linen pants. After making the Summer Caye shorts (love them too), I hacked my next Allegros to have the flat front/ elasticated back and it turned out great!

  35. Shirley Jarrett (verified owner)

Fits & so comfy, I have made 4 for my fall wardrobe in Ponte, Love it!

  36. LeAnne Ballard (verified owner)

Such a versatile and basic pattern! I love this pattern. I’ve used the skirt and have modified it in many ways from the original to make some beautiful skirts. My tween loves skirts that I make for her too. Great tried and true pattern!

  37. jen.bussie (verified owner)

I love the Allegro pattern – I’ve only made the shorts so far & they were a very easy pattern to follow.

  38. Deb M. (verified owner)

Great investment sewing. Can add details to make it your own.Tried Karina’s special hacks at Lifting Pins and Needles and ended up with several cute skirts. LN patterns are such a pleasure to sew.

  39. Athina Niamonitaki (verified owner)

Great fit and begginer friendly! I made 2 pairs of joggers in 2 days 😉 one in denim and one in linen. Now of to try another style…

    • Tessa (verified owner)

      How wonderful! Enjoy!

  40. andie.letourneau (verified owner)

I love this pattern. So far, I’ve sewn the pattern 4 times – twice in linen, once in twill and once in a very firm knit. Each time, I cut them to capri length. I love the roomy pockets and comfortable elastic waist. The instructions are easy to follow and the pants go together quickly. Can’t wait to make some of the other views

  41. Krystal Kerr (verified owner)

These are my favorite pattern for shorts! I love all of the other options too! They are quick to sew!

  42. Krystal Kerr (verified owner)

These are my favorite pattern for shorts! I love all of the other options too! They are quick to sew!

  43. Sarah Belschner (verified owner)

My favourite pants and skirt pattern! Lovely in linen for summer, and well drafted through the entire size range.

  44. sally.stone (verified owner)

I love this pattern. I’ve finished my “wearable muslin” a full length trouser in grey linen. I am so pleased with them and immediately cut out the cropped length in red linen: from just 2 mètres of fabric I have the cropped trousers AND a short sleeved Cadance top to match. I may add some machine embroidery on the hem of the sleeves and the bottom of the cropped legs.
If I was a child, you’d say I was playing nicely.
Thanks Love Notions you certainly keep me out of mischief.

  45. Kathryn King (verified owner)

Awesome pattern–the skirt is perfection. I’ve made two for myself and some for my daughters as well. The instructions are clear and the finishing is really neat. The drafting is so nicely done–it is a very flattering pattern with so many options. The drawstring and pockets take a little extra time, but they are such a nice detail. The body and finished measurements are so helpful, too.

  46. Peggy C (verified owner)

This was the first LN pattern I bought. Love the Allegros!! I have made all the versions -cropped pants, skirt, joggers, and several pairs of shorts. A great pattern to have for all the different versions.

  47. christeldeann (verified owner)

I’m not a fan of sewing pants, but I have made 4 pairs of these now. Simple and fit very well. Only adjustment I made was the width of the legs because of my large calves. There will be more made in the future.

  48. Lynn Hermanek (verified owner)

One of my most used and versatile Love Notions patterns. Also the first pair of pants I have ever sewn! Excellent instructions! Have used this pattern so many times to make wide legged cropped pants (simple hack), linen pajama pants, warm fleece long pants and more!

  49. janelleemsley (verified owner)

I’ve made the shorts version for someone else. The fit was great, easy to sew, instructions were fantastic.

  50. Kathleen Frame (verified owner)

I love the Allegro pants! The fit is flattering, and they are easy to wear. I plan to make more in a linen-rayon blend soon.

  51. Elizabeth Hammack (verified owner)

I have sewed the Allegro at least 3 times as a skirt(long) and 3 times as pants. It makes a garment that can be fancy or casual depending on the choice of fabric.I have loved all of mine and look forward to making many more!

  52. Rebecca Tromel (verified owner)

This pattern is such a bargain, I don’t know why everybody doesn’t have it! Two lengths of skirts, two lengths of shorts and pants that can also be capri’s if you search the blog. Plus there is a Allegro Sew Along to help you out. As a beginner, I struggled a bit with the pockets, I got them done in the end, but a few more pictures on the Sew Along would have really helped.
So far I’ve only managed to sew up the long skirt, but I have linen purchased and washed to make some capri pants for the summer.

  53. Monique Knowles (verified owner)

    Love the options and fit.

  54. deblabounty (verified owner)

What a fabulous pattern! I’ve made two pairs of the pants and am so in love with wearing them. I used linen blends and followed the well-written pattern easily. Love Notions writes the best instructions of any pattern company I’ve ever used. I decided to omit the faux zipper fly and drawstring and could not be happier with my beautiful pants. I might make a third pair in a different fabric!

  55. Liz Kebbell (verified owner)

Love this pattern, quick and easy to sew, I’ve made several skirts in viscose, viscose linen and bamboo. It’s comfortable, cool, stylish and flattering with the all important pockets.

  56. christeldeann (verified owner)

My most made LN pattern. I thought making pants would be difficult, but this pattern is very simple. It fits me without any adjustments and I use it for pjs and regular pants. I’ve used flannel, cotton, linen and corduroy. Now I need to make some skirts!

  57. Gerrie Mooney (verified owner)

I made the long skirt, love the pattern

  58. Catherine van Kampen (verified owner)

The allegro pattern is great. It’s quite easy to sew and has clear instructions. I recommend using a lighter weight fabric if you want a slimmer look, as heavier fabrics will bunch up around the elastic waist area.

  59. Karen-Lee Schutte (verified owner)

This pattern is well drafted and everybody else looks great in them. This is my nemesis 🤣 just cannot get the fit right. I’ve tried 5 times. Clearly it’s me not the pattern. I will keep at it.

  60. Sally Holmes (verified owner)

made the shorts version as a muslin, very easy to follow instructions

  61. Liesel (verified owner)

This is everything I want in a woven pant pattern, and bonus, it has an amazing skirt option too. This pattern is so good for summer.

  62. Kelly (verified owner)

Have made this pattern a few times and love the versatility! My favorite version is a striped skirt to match a striped love notions tee….easy separates or a a faux dress!

  63. Caroline Calhoun (verified owner)

Very easy sew, this was my first pants pattern from Love Notions and it was perfect. I made this with a linen rayon blend and they were fantastic.

  64. Jill (verified owner)

First woven pants I’ve ever made for myself and I love the skirt option too!

  65. andie.letourneau (verified owner)

My favorite pants. I have made at least 8 pairs so far. All have been capri length. I used various fabrics including linen, cotton, polyester, and blends. The pattern works great in regular or stretch woven fabrics or firm knits. For one variation, I used denim and decorated the back pockets with embroidery.

  66. Noel (verified owner)

What a great pattern! I have only made the pants so far, and they are among my favorites. I look forward to sewing more pants and also trying the skirts when warmer weather comes again.
