Super easy to sew and the flat front/elastic back waistband is great! I also appreciate a pattern that can be sewn with both knit and woven fabric. I feel like I’m getting more bang for my buck that way.

I’ve been looking for a good summer pants pattern. This pattern has so many options. I won’t need another pattern.

I am so glad I finally sewed up a pair of the Summer Caye Shorts. A super cute, easy sew…with wonderful fashion detailing on the pockets. I appreciate that the pattern is drafted so that the front has a smooth, streamlined profile….and the back has more room. Not baggy. Just more room for the booty….without adding the illusion of extra width to the body. Just follow the fabric recommendations and you will have a lovely, breezy, slimming pair of pants. I made the Palazzo shorts and flat out LOVE them….I live in the Mojave Desert, and this pattern will be well used over and over … I have some lovely rayon knit that I will use as my next pair, in the palazzo capri version. Thanks Tami…you make sewing fun again!

Adorable, and a great fit. I love that they are loose, without being baggy.

I love my Cayes. I’ve made full length and crops; both are stylish and comfortable. And an easy sew.

I love the way the pockets are drafted on these – they stay in place very nicely.

These are my go-to summer pants! Casual, They are an easy project to sew up for some comfy, casual spring/summer pants!

I sewed the wide leg version with a regular hem in a ponte. I found they came up too big so I had to take about an inch off each side seam, but that may have been my poor measuring! The instructions are really clear and helpful and I am just about to start a palazzo pant in a light floaty fabric… I may have at least 2 other pairs already planned!

This was a fun and easy sew that surprised me with how great it fit and how flattering it is. Now I just have to make up my mind whether to make the wide leg or palazzo pants. This was my inspiration for hacking the Allegros to have the flat front/elasticated back because it’s so comfortable.

I’ve made two pairs of these and they’re amazing. I had to add length so I did my own little process to make it easier for projector use. I’ll make some more for sure. They are a great summer pant. I’m going to do some capris next. Love the back pockets.

Easy to sew and a flattering fit! The rise was quite low so I had to add an inch but otherwise great and the perfect pattern for some flowy pants for a trip to Hawaii!

Iโve made 3 pairs of shorts with the Summmer Caye pattern, one with a stable knit, one with a stretch linen blend, and one with a pure linen. They have such a nice fit. I really love the flat front with elasticized back. The pockets are great and offer a little support with the pocket panel. I will most likely make more shorts this summer, and probably some capris as well.

The shorts version of this pattern is my go to for woven shorts, they are hands down the most comfortable woven shorts and the flat front waistband is so flattering.
